Stick to Nature
Our first suggestion is to go for natural shades of color. At first, you might feel it will all be too mature for a child’s room. However, you will be surprised how attractive, clean, light gray, and natural wood can be. Once you have the natural background set, any color can be added, giving the room its own personality and style. These elements, such as drapes, a carpet, or even a clock on the wall, can be easily changed in due time.

Adaptable Furniture
Look for furniture that can be functional for both children and teens. There are endless beds that are made from natural wood (remember the natural colors), which start as a toddler’s bed and can convert into a small double. Shelves are another item in a bedroom that can be used for kids and remain useable as they grow.
Themes
Don’t design your child’s room with anything you know they will grow out of. Cartoon characters, such as Mickey Mouse or Barbie, will last no more than one year. Opt instead for geometric patterns or elements of nature. Make sure the theme you choose can be easily changed and adapted to their age. Save yourself some money and save your child the aggravation.
Space & Storage
As a child grows, their desire for their own personal space grows, too. This can be interpreted into a cozy ready corner in the room, a unique desk that will be used from early school days until way into high school. Storage solutions are a must in any room, especially in a child’s room. Not only does it keep the room neat and tidy, but it can also store toys and personal belongings, both for toddlers and teens.

Get Your Child To Take Part
When designing the room, get your child to take part. Give them the options they have, according to the steps we have detailed, and let them choose. Let them project their own personality into their room. It is important they feel comfortable and secure in the room when they invite friends over, do their homework, and go to sleep.
Save Time, Save Money, and Save Agro
All it takes is natural basics, suitable furniture, an evergreen theme, and one child who wants to participate. There is no need to change your child’s room every two years (because that is the speed they go off things); you have to be smart, be efficient, and know how to work on a budget.
