Jane Carrey is Jim Carrey’s daughter from his ex-wife, Melissa Womer. Born in 1987, her father made sure her daughter experienced a normal life away from the camera and lights of Hollywood. Though Jane was seen in some red carpet events, her father made sure she was not exposed to the chaos brought on by his career.
However, Jane did try out to audition for American Idol back in 2012. Unfortunately, she was rejected after her shaky performance. Don’t fret though, as her father managed to score a deal to sing the soundtrack on his movie, “Dumb and Dumber Too.”
Nancy Kerrigan’s son: Matthew Kerrigan
Matthew Kerrigan was not even born yet when her mother Nancy was involved in an ice-skating scandal back in 1994. She was walking toward the locker room when her competitor, Tonya Harding’s ex-husband, hit Nancy’s leg with a baton. Eventually, Harding pleaded guilty.
Fortunately, Nancy has long moved on from the incident. Fortunately too, her son Matthew chose a career far from the skating rink. Matthew, though he knows how to skate, is doing costume design work. Matthew, who was born in 1996, is the eldest of Nancy’s three kids with husband and agent Jerry Solomon.
Will Smith’s daughter: Willow Smith
Willow Smith clearly takes after her talented parents. Being the daughter of actors Will Smith and Jada Pinkett has evidently rubbed off on her. She is multi-talented and is able to professionally act, sing, and dance. Similar to other celebrity kids, she appeared with her father in the movie, "I am Legend." Though she dabbled into acting, it may not be where her heart lies.
Willow released two singles in 2010 and 2011. Her most famous song was “Whip my Hair”, followed by “21st Century Girl”. “Whip My Hair” reached the 11th spot on Billboard Hot 100 and was even nominated for the 2011 Video of the Year at the BET Awards. Willow is clearly making a name for herself away from the shadow of her parents.
Mario Lopez’s daughter: Gia Lopez
Who knew comedian and host Mario Lopez would have a daughter who would follow in her father’s footsteps? Though still young, Gia Lopez is pursuing a Hollywood career. Her mother is actress Courtney Lazza. At the young age of five, she managed to acquire an acting contract. She also does voice work.
She was Estrella, a character in the Disney Junior animated television series "Elena of Avalor." She also appeared in the series, "Jane the Virgin." At 7 years old, she appeared as herself in a contest called "Big Star, Little Star." Clearly, one is never too young to start early.
Joe Mantegna’s daughter: Gia Mantegna
Gia Mantegna wants to be known as herself, not as the daughter of "Criminal Minds" actor, Joe Mantegna or restaurateur Arlene Vrhel. Fortunately, Gia is doing exactly that. At only 13 years old, she managed to debut in the movie "Uncle Nino." After which, she went on to land a slew of Hollywood roles.
She was in the Jennifer Garner flick, "13 Going On 30." She also appeared in the film, "In The Land of Women." But besides acting, Gia is a musician in her own right. She can play a mean saxophone, sing, as well as play the piano.
