Montana: Glacier National Park
With more than 700 miles of hiking trails, Glacier National Park in Montana is bound to have something for everyone. The place features glaciers (obviously), lakes, forests, and mountains that will make you feel like Julie Andrews, singing at the top of your lungs with the fabulous view all around. The Highline Trail is a must-try trek. While the cliffside journey can be pretty challenging for novices, you might get to meet a local mountain goat which will make it all worth it.

Utah: Zion National Park
Pivoting from the turquoise lakes and glacial beauty of Montana, next, we are looking at the red rocks of Utah. Zion National Park’s sandstone cliffs and canyons are nothing short of jaw-dropping. Add the emerald pools to the mix and you’ll never want to leave. Experienced hikers would love to give the upward climb that is Angel’s Landing hike a try. Fans of water trails would enjoy trying The Narrows and walking through the Virgin River (the water is only ankle-deep at this point) as the beautiful canyon towers over you.

Maine: Acadia National Park
So we’ve covered glacial views and desert views. Now let’s take a look at a beach view! Acadia National Park in Maine has impressive rocky shores as well as mountains and forests. It is home to Cadillac Mountain, which is the East Coast’s tallest peak. This means that if you feel like hiking your way to the top you will be rewarded with some of the most incredible views you have ever seen. Hike in time to watch the sunset and you’ve got yourself an experience you will never shut up about (not that you should.) If you’d like to experience the place with family or people of various hiking skills, the Jordan Pond Path should be the trail of choice.
