When we think back on 90’s sitcoms, we look at them with a sweet sense of nostalgia, and that’s especially true with “Boy Meets World.” The show ran from 1993 to 2000. The critically acclaimed series has been dubbed as one of the best shows ever made, thanks to an incredible script and relatable characters.
Even after all these years that it’s not been airing, critics still reminisce about it. Rider Strong portrayed the somewhat rebellious deuteragonist, Shawn Hunter. It has been alleged that when the show ended, none of the actors were allowed to take any memorabilia home, although somehow this rule didn’t apply to Strong at all as he managed to walk away with his character’s iconic leather jacket. Not bad!
Margot Robbie: Baseball Bat From “Suicide Squad”
Margot Robbie, who starred in the most anticipated flick of 2023 ("Barbie"), has revealed that she took a prop home from DC Extended Universe's "Suicide Squad." She openly admitted to getting away with her character's weapon — a baseball bat. Of course, this isn't just any baseball bat. It was Harley Quinn's baseball bat, which is way cooler than any ordinary bat!
She even joked about how she keeps the beloved bat right next to her bed in case she needs something to protect her in the middle of the night. That will certainly keep her safe from anyone trying to break into her home! Harley's bat is easily recognizable thanks to the lengthy paragraphs of cursive writing and the words "GOOD NIGHT" printed on it. We don't blame her for stealing this iconic piece of memorabilia.
Jennifer Lawrence: Leather Jacket/Boots From “Hunger Games”
Jennifer Lawrence portrayed "The Girl on Fire," otherwise known as Katniss Everdeen, in the "Hunger Games" franchise from 2012 to 2015. Katniss had a lot of skills, including archery and hunting, and on-screen, she rarely went anywhere without her leather jacket and boots.
In 2015, Lawrence revealed some inside deets about the movies in an interview with E! News at the San Diego Comic-Con. When she was asked if she kept anything from the set of the "Hunger Games," she reacted, "I took the leather jacket — the leather hunting jacket — and the leather hunting boots." We guess she has a thing for hunting attire. Katniss would be so proud!
Ryan Reynolds: “Deadpool's” Suit
Ryan Reynolds is pretty well known for starring as Wade Wilson in Marvel's "Deadpool" series. The first movie of the franchise was released in 2016, followed by a sequel in 2018. During the movie's commentary with screenwriters Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, Reynolds openly admitted that he still has the suit that he "stole while shooting the movie."
According to him, there were initially nine Deadpool suits, of which seven were wrecked during filming, and one of the two remaining suits now stays in his basement's storage. Since Reynolds said that the suit made him weep the first time he saw it, we think he deserves to keep it fair and square.
Gabrielle Union: Cheerleader Clothes From "Bring It On"
"Bring It On" is a classic cheerleading flick that came out in the year 2000. The movie starred big names of those days, like Kirsten Dunst and Gabrielle Union. The movie follows a high school champion cheerleading squad, and it did so well that it even got a second breath with "Bring It On All or Nothing."
Union portrayed Isis, a high school girl who led the 'East Compton Clovers' cheer squad. Their green cheer outfit, striped with yellow and orange accents, has become somewhat synonymous with the flick. In 2017, when Union had an interview with People Style, she admitted that she still had the cheerleading outfit in her closet after all those years.
Simon Pegg: Starfleet Badge From "Star Trek"
The English actor, comedian, and writer Simon Pegg was on the cast of three films from the "Star Trek" franchise. Apparently, in this first movie of the series that he appeared in, in 2009, the security was really tight, and it was impossible to take any memorable souvenirs home from the set.
But according to Pegg, the security was a lot more chilled in 2013's "Star Trek: Into Darkness," so of course, he capitalized on that and got himself a token that he will always carry dear to his heart. Pegg was able to take home a Starfleet badge from when he played Scotty in the 2013 sequel. The star got back to his trailer after shooting the movie and realized he still had the badge with him, which he quickly slipped into his bag to keep as a souvenir. Sneaky much?
Timothee Chalamet: Helmet and Chain From "The King"
The Oscar-nominated star Timothee Chalamet is mostly known for his roles in "Dune" and "Call Me by Your Name." The star hardly ever disappoints on the red carpet as he likes to dress in bold outfits with "statement" written all over them. Apparently, he is bold when it comes to taking things from the sets he works on, too.
In 2019, the film "The King" came out, starring Chalamet as the main protagonist. The star told BBC Radio 1 that he managed to keep a few items from the set of the flick, but he deeply regrets not taking his character's big sword home. What he did manage to score, though, was the thick metal helmet and a contemporary period chain.
Seth Rogen: Furniture From "This Is the End"
Seth Rogen has come a long way since he was doing stand-up comedy as a teenager. The Canadian-born star is best known for his roles in "Superbad" and "Pineapple Express," which he acted in, as well as formed part of the producing team. In 2013, "This Is the End" came out, starring Rogen and other favorites he usually associates with, like Jonah Hill, James Franco, Jay Baruchel, and, of course, Danny McBride, who all portrayed themselves.
The sneaky star alleged that he stole a lot of furniture from the set of this movie and even had the cheek to ship the items from New Orleans to Los Angeles to furnish "our office and homes." If that isn't Superbad, then we don't know what is! And we aren't really sure who the 'our' is in that statement, but we're guessing it's the boy's squad that acted in this movie with him.
Reese Witherspoon: Wardrobe From "Legally Blonde 2"
Reese Witherspoon made her on-screen debut in the early 90s with minor roles here and there. In the late 90s, she got breakthrough roles in "Cruel Intentions" and "Election," but it was only in 2001 that she got her international claim to fame with "Legally Blonde." The film was quite a success and managed to get a prequel in 2003, and "Legally Blonde 3" in more recent times.
In 2019, Witherspoon had an interview on "The Graham Norton Show," in which she revealed that he got to take home her entire wardrobe from the movie "Legally Blonde 2: Red, White and Blonde." Apparently, keeping the full wardrobe from the film, which includes 77 pairs of Jimmy Choo designer shoes, was part of the deal when she signed the contract. Now, that sounds like a bargain!
Daisy Ridley: Lightsaber From "Star Wars"
Daisy Ridley is an actress of English descent and is best known for her breakthrough performance in "Star Wars: Episode VII: The Force Awakens," where she portrayed Rey. In 2019, the star did an interview with Jimmy Kimmel Live, in which she shared that she got gifted a lightsaber from the set of "Star Wars."
She isn't taking any chances, though, as the star claims that she has hidden the souvenir in a safe spot in case any thieves get any ideas. She claims that the lightsaber isn't even stored at her own humble abode, but rather, she is keeping it somewhere safe and far away.
Dakota Johnson: Clothes From "Fifty Shades of Grey"
If there was a movie that highly depended on its props, then it would probably be "Fifty Shades of Grey." Perhaps one of the reasons the movie captured the eyes of so many was in part due to its large adult toy collection. The films and the books that the films are based on were all the talk of the town when they were first released.
Finally, something came out that allowed women to explore sexual fantasy in a way that had never been possible before. It's also quite certain that Dakota Johnson got her reason for recognition with the movie franchise, which portrayed Anastasia Steele. We were quite surprised when we heard that all she took from the set was a T-shirt and some socks, and nothing scandalous. Come on, Dakota! Not even a sneaky little toy?
Adam Driver: A Lot of Props From "Star Wars"
The two-time Oscar-nominated star Adam Driver had a chat on "The Late Show With Stephen Colbert" in which he revealed the items he got to take home from the "Star Wars" set. He kept things civil as he disclosed he got full permission to take home a box that contained his lightsaber and the costume he wore on set.
We are not sure what else the star got to take home, but according to him, it was a lot of stuff from the film's set. By the looks of it, the "Star Wars" franchise seems nice enough to allow cast members to take memorabilia home to best remember their times on the franchise's set. It must be nice to work for this empire!
Ella Jay Basco: A Pink Cast from "Birds of Prey"
Ella Jay Basco is a young Korean/Filipino actress who starred in big productions like "Grey's Anatomy" and "Birds of Prey" before she even turned 20. In 2020, when she just entered her teenage years, the star portrayed Cassandra Cain in the iconic "Birds of Prey" flick alongside other big names like Margot Robbie and Ewan McGregor.
According to her interview with MTV International, she got to keep a piece of memorabilia from the set. Apparently, the makers ended up making 15 pink casts, so of course, they let her keep one of them as a token of tribute. Now, ain't that sweet?
Aaron Paul: A Car From "Need for Speed"
If you were wondering what the best and probably the most expensive thing a star got to take home from a movie set, then it's probably the thing that Aaron Paul got to take home. In 2014, when the filming for the movie "Need for Speed" was done, Paul said that he got to take home a car from the movie's set. Best you believe that it wasn't just any old average car, no.
Paul got to take home an actual 1969 Ford Torino GT, according to an interview with Men's Journal. We aren't sure if the star gave the car back after taking some spins in it or if he got to keep it for good. Either way, this is probably the nicest thing that anyone will ever get to take home from a movie set.
Ashley Tisdale: Sharpay's Wardrobe From "High School Musical"
Ashley Tisdale has been doing things in the showbiz industry since she was ten years old. In 2008, she portrayed Sharpay Evans in "High School Musical" alongside Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens. According to an interview that the star had with Buzzfeed, she managed to poach her character's complete wardrobe from the first flick of the franchise.
She told Buzzfeed that most of the "High School Musical" cast members' clothes are hanging in a hall of fame, but you won't ever see Sharpay's clothes hanging there. Apparently, Disney wanted to get the clothes back from Tisdale, but she put her foot down with an assertive 'No, this is mine.'
Chris Hemsworth: Thor's Hammer
Before the Aussie native actor Chris Hemsworth was known for his role in Marvel's "Thor," he was better known in Australia's soap opera "Home and Away" as Kim Hyde. In 2011, his big break came around when he got the chance to portray the hammer-wielding god Thor. During a 2018 interview with "Jimmy Kimmel Live," the star was asked if he got the chance to take one of Thor's symbols of power home — the famous Mjolnir hammer.
To that, Hemsworth replied that he has not one or two but "about five." Apparently, he keeps one next to his toilet and one on top of his mantlepiece. We guess he keeps his hammers handy so that when he has guests over, they won't have to think twice about who they are visiting when they're visiting Thor's house.
Chadwick Boseman: Beads From "Black Panther"
The three-time Oscar-winning "Black Panther" movie was released in 2018. The main protagonist of the movie, T'Challa, was played by Chadwick Boseman, who had an interview on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" discussing the movie in the same year that it was released.
Kimmel asked the star if he had managed to pinch any mementos from any of the Marvel sets that he had worked on, and the star claimed that he was actually wearing one of the things he managed to get away with from "Black Panther." Boseman was wearing the Kimoyo beads that he also wore on set while portraying King T'Challa. We think it's adorable that he actually wore his character's beads on live television!
Lea Michele: A Jersey from "Glee"
Rachel from "Glee" was indeed a very special character. She had an impeccable singing (and acting) talent that never went unnoticed. In 2015, when "Glee" came to a halt, Lea Michele, who played Rachel, shared a bunch of photos online to commemorate the last day of filming.
One picture revealed the prop the star got to take home — Cory Monteith's jersey. The jersey was very dear to her since he always wore it when he portrayed her boyfriend, Finn. The world was in pain and shock when Monteith passed away in 2013, so this memento was extra special to Michele.
Ian McKellen: Golden Coins and a Key From "LOTR"
Sir Ian McKellen notably starred as the mighty wizard Gandalf in the trilogy "The Lord of the Rings," as well as in the prequels "The Hobbit" films. All of the films were absolute box office hits, as they both grossed nearly $3 billion dollars. In 2016, on a Reddit thread dubbed "Ask Me Anything," McKellen was asked if he had managed to take any memorabilia home from any of the sets.
The star wrote that he ended up with some gold coins from the den where the dragon was hiding in the film. He added that he managed to take "the front door key to Bag End" home, which he knows the director Peter Jackson is still looking for, but thanks to McKellen's swiping, he will never find it.
Kristen Stewart: Rings From "Twilight"
The "Twilight" book and movie series was massive when it first came out in the late '00s. Everybody was talking about it at the time, and it was Kristen Stewart who got to play one of the leading protagonists, Bella. In an interview with People in 2012, the star said she'd taken home several rings from the movie set.
To be more specific, she took the moon ring from Bella's mother and the diamond-adorned engagement ring that Edward used on set to propose to Bella. The star claimed that the rings are "extremely important" to her and that she loves them thanks to the stories that they carry. Whether she wears the rings or puts them to any use these days, we aren't sure, but this is a marvelous memento that Stewart got to keep from the set of this movie she worked on!
Daniel Radcliffe: Two Pairs of "Harry Potter" Glasses
Daniel Radcliffe found fame before he even reached his teens thanks to his magical journey as Harry Potter in the franchise of the same name. This franchise spanned over a decade and seized the hearts and eyes of millions of adults and kids worldwide.
Radcliffe has claimed that he managed to steal his character's glasses from the first film, "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," and also from the seventh flick, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1." The star told the Daily Mail that the glasses from the first film are absolutely tiny now, which is a given, seeing as he was just an 11-year-old boy when the filming started on the first movie.
Taron Egerton: Neon Sign From "Rocketman"
"Rocketman," which detailed the iconic life of Sir Elton John, was released in 2019. The movie was quite a hit, and it managed to shepherd home an Oscar for Best Original Soundtrack. It was Taron Egerton who portrayed the famed musician himself, and he also managed to get away with a piece of memorabilia from the set.
In an interview with British GQ, Egerton claimed that he took the neon Troubadour sign home from one of the film's stages. Apparently, his costar, Richard Madden, told him to put it in his kitchen. Egerton must be a good listener because that's exactly where the sign is still hanging today, according to his interview.
Jenna Fischer: Many Items From "The Office"
It was rare to see Pam Beasley on "The Office" without her trusty hair clip. Jenna Fischer, who portrayed Pam, revealed on an Instagram post that while shooting the show, the hairstylist persisted that Fischer should return the hairclip to a designated spot every day so that it never got lost. Fischer has also alleged that she received the clip in its original shadow-box when the show ended in 2013.
It currently sits on display in her home to commemorate the epic "The Office" chapter in her life. On the "Hot Girl" episode of her podcast, she also mentioned that she got "Pam's purse" when the show ended. Apparently, Fischer also has the engagement ring that Jim used to propose to her. Not bad, Beasley! She did, however, reassure everyone that she doesn't wear it, as she now wears the ring from her hubby of over a decade-long marriage.
Robert Pattinson: Underwear From "Twilight"
Robert Pattinson played the sullen vampire Edward Cullen in the Twilight franchise. At the 2012 CBS press for the film, the star claimed that he kept a few pairs of underwear from the movie set. Definitely not a regular item to keep from a movie set, but the star claims that he still uses the underwear because they are super comfy and difficult to find in the stores.
At least we know that he is utilizing his "Twilight" memorabilia to the fullest. Perhaps Kristen Stewart got away with the most flashy token from the "Twilight" film's set, but it was Pattinson who took home the items that he is certainly putting to good use!
Alan Rickman: Snape's Wand From "Harry Potter"
The late Alan Rickman had a great acting career before his passing in 2016. The star won an Emmy in 1996 for his role in "Rasputin" and went on to do a lot of great things with the Harry Potter franchise from 2001 to 2011.
In an interview with HitFix in 2011, the star claimed that he kept the wand of his grim character Severus Snape. Sadly, the actor was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2015, and he passed away a few months later at the age of 69. Rickman may have moved on, but he will always be remembered for his contributions to the industry.
Kimberly J. Brown: Many Items From "Halloweentown"
In 2019 the "Halloweentown" star Kimberly J. Brown shared that she got to take home a few mementos from the set of the festive flick. In a YouTube interview with Manny Gutierrez, the star said that she took the titular book from the movie and that she also got given a puppet by Disney, which was Kalabar's bat assistant.
She also claimed that she got her character Marnie's purple cloak and a hat from the "Halloweentown" prequels. On top of that, she also got to take Marnie's little broom home. With all these items she got to keep from the set, it almost seems like she can open a tiny "Halloweentown" museum!
Chris Evans: Wardrobe From "Knives Out"
Chris Evans found worldwide fame in 2011 when he portrayed Steve Rogers in Marvel's "Captain America." After that stint, he got other big roles with Marvel, like the "Avengers" series which were massive hits at the time of their release since all the films grossed an average of $2 billion. In 2019, the star portrayed Ransom Drysdale in "Knives Out."
The entire cast of the film had an interview with "People Now," and most of the members said they didn't take anything home from the set, but Evans was fortunate enough to take home "mostly clothes" from the set of the movie. The star assured the interviewer that he got "permission, so it's not stealing." He managed to take home all the sweaters that he wore in the mystery movie.
Millie Bobby Brown: Fake Blood From “Stranger Things”
One of the props that Eleven in "Stranger Things" uses the most may be the blood that frequently starts dripping from her nose when she's concentrating really hard and making things happen with her superpowers. For Millie Bobby Brown's character, it was definitely a staple on the set.
In a Variety interview, Brown revealed that she managed to take home one of the vials of fake blood that gets used for her character's performances. She added that she keeps the little bottle in a memento box, which is stored next to the lipsticks from the award shows she's attended over the years. That sounds adorable!
Emma Watson: Cloak, Wand and Time-Turner From "Harry Potter"
The French-born British star Emma Watson portrayed the annoyingly intelligent witch Hermione Granger in all of the "Harry Potter" films. Just like some of her costars, she also managed to get away with a few souvenirs from the set of the franchise.
In an interview with Time for Kids in 2010, the star claimed that she got to take home her character's wand, cloak, and Time-Turner, which she said reminded her of the time she spent as a student at Hogwarts. Watson has not been too active since the "Harry Potter" filming ended, but she has managed to feature in some remarkable flicks, like 2017's "Beauty and the Beast" and "Little Women" in the year 2019.
Julie Andrews: A Pair of Shoes From "Mary Poppins"
The cult classic "Mary Poppins" was released back in 1964. The movie won a whopping five Oscars, which is no mean feat, especially in those days! The main protagonist of the film, Mary Poppins, was played by none other than Julie Andrews, who received her first Oscar win in this role.
Many years after the film's release, the star had an interview on "The Grahan Norton Show," in which she revealed that she got to keep her character's shoes. According to her, the shoes now serve as a doorstop in her home, which we think is a great way to repurpose her acclaimed character's kicks.
Ben Affleck: Batarangs From "Batman"
Ben Affleck was talented enough to be one of the handful of actors who got to play Batman in the DC Comics franchise. In 2016, he played the Caped Crusader in "Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice." According to Affleck, he straight-up stole his character's Batarang (which is the foldable metal bat-shaped knife, in case you didn't know).
He just put the thing in his pocket after filming was done, and even though the props guy asked for it back, he just said no because he thought he deserved the token, thinking it was a sort of "movie star pass" thing. We love the presumptive attitude, Ben!
Mark Wahlberg: Prosthetic From “Boogie Nights”
Back in 1999, Mark Wahlberg got to take the lead in the controversial flick "Boogie Nights." Wahlberg wasn't playing around when he took home a prop from the set of the movie. Usually, if you're going to snatch something from a movie set, it's probably safer to take something small that won't get noticed, but Wahlberg did not seem to get the memo regarding that.
The star claims that he somehow managed to take home a massive prosthetic phallic item. We're not sure how he managed to get away with it or what he does with the thing nowadays, but this is certainly the most ludicrous item we have on this list!
Ryan Reynolds: "Green Lantern" Ring
Ryan Reynolds has it all — a great sense of humor, a wife in the form of Blake Lively, and a good deal of mementos from movies he played in. He also got away with a memento from the set of "Green Lantern." The star claimed that it was really challenging to pinch something from the set of this movie since most of the movie's props were digital and the movie was shot using mostly Computer Generated Images.
So really, the only thing that he managed to get away with was the Green Lantern ring itself. Sadly, the flick ended in terrible reviews from audiences and critics, so he hoped that he at least got a little kick out of the little token he kept from the film.
Josh Hutcherson: A Locket From "Hunger Games"
Josh Hutcherson was on the cast of the "Hunger Games," along with Jennifer Lawrence, and like her, he also got to keep a token of memorabilia from the set of the movies. Considering that he got to play the relentless romantic Peeta, it's actually rather sweet that he ended up taking home the locket that Katniss adorned throughout the film.
These two may have gotten away with some relics from the film, but Liam Hemsworth, who portrayed Gale in the franchise, claims that he didn't walk away with anything from the films except for the memories of filming it. Naw, too cute!
Robert Downey Jr.: A Giant "A" from "Avengers"
The lengthy Marvel Cinematic Universe can be traced to its humble roots with the 2008 "Iron Man." So we totally understand that Robert Downey Jr., the Iron Man himself, would want to take a piece of the "Avengers" history for himself.
In 2016, the star had an interview on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show, in which he claimed that he had managed to take the gigantic "Avengers" A prop, which he had found outside the Avengers Center. We have no idea what sorts of things the star must be getting up to with such a big prop, but at least he got to keep something that screams, "I was part of Avengers!" from one of the most epic films ever made.
Tom Holland: A Pair of Glasses From “Spiderman”
So far, there have only been about four lucky people who got to play the leading role of Peter Parker in "Spider-Man." In 2017, the role went to Tom Holland in "Spider-Man: Homecoming." Two years later, he played the same role, but this time it was with "Spider-Man: Far from Home."
Besides walking away with great memories from shooting the flick, the star also managed to sneak Tony Stark's glasses away with him. Seeing as it's such a tough role to get by, we totally get why an actor would want to take a little piece of memorabilia home with them to remember the grandeur of it all.
Chris Pratt: Star Lord's Jacket From "GOTG"
"Guardians of the Galaxy" is an integral part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Not only is the movie known for its mind-blowing storyline but it's also admired for featuring Hollywood's hunk Chris Pratt. In 2014, the star had an interview with Panzer TV, in which he alleged that he managed to pinch his character's costume — the jacket that Peter Quill adorned in the movies.
The star claimed that the reason he stole this item was so that he could pay a visit to a children's hospital and show up as a superhero to lift the spirits of the young patients. We love Pratt and the reason he gave for stealing his character's costume.
Bryan Cranston: Glasses and a Hat From "Breaking Bad"
Recently, the series "Breaking Bad" celebrated its 15th anniversary, and even after all these years, the show has proved to be a timelessly well-written masterpiece. Considering that the show did so well and that it was such a craze at one point in time, it comes as no surprise that the stars of the show would want to take home a thing or two of memorabilia.
In an interview with E Weekly, Bryan Cranston, who portrayed the main man, Walter, alleged that he managed to get his prized possession from the set — Heisenberg's hat and sunglasses. You can't go wrong with a hat and a pair of sunnies, especially not if they once belonged to Heisenberg!
Sandra Oh: A Rug From "Grey's Anatomy"
The series "Grey's Anatomy" started airing in 2005, and to this day, it's still going strong. Sandra Oh used to star in the series as Dr. Christina Yang, but her time on the show came to an end in its tenth season.
When Oh got the chance to take a memento home from the series, she channeled Christina Yang and took the logical route, as she vouched to take the rug from her character's apartment. The star claims that even to this day, she has the rug in her living room. At least she's putting her token from the show to good use!
Will Ferrell: Ron Burgundy's Ring From "Anchorman"
Will Ferrell has got to be one of the funniest actors that we've seen in this era. After achieving great things on "Saturday Night Live," the star took to Hollywood to pursue further on-screen goals. Of all the films that the star was featured in, we think it's safe to say that "Anchorman" was probably one of his and his audience's favorites.
In this flick, Ferrell played the role of Ron Burgundy, who never went a day without his ring. It was clearly a sentimental piece to Ron, and now that Ferrell has it in his possession, we are pretty certain that he also treats it like a cherished treasure from the time he spent on the set of this uproarious film!
John Stamos: Tanner Family Couch From "Full House"
In its eight-year run, the late '80s/mid-'90s sitcom "Full House" embarked on many unusual plots. It followed the lives of the Tanner family as they went about in their unconventional family set-up in their San Fransisco home.
Almost every episode had a lesson to be learned or a positive message about family and love, which is what made the show such a triumph. In the show, John Stamos portrayed the character Uncle Jesse. When the show reached its finale, the star got to take home the Tanner family's couch, which the star paraded on Instagram in a 2020 post.
Jennifer Aniston: Neon Coffee Sign From "Friends"
The iconic series "Friends" was aired from 1994 to 2004, and to this day, it is still considered to be one of the best shows that our generation has ever seen. The biggest reason for its popularity is that it contains a sweeping variety of elements that almost any Tom, Dick, or Harry can relate to on a personal level.
Jennifer Aniston, who portrayed cutie Rachel Green, has said that she managed to sneak away a neon coffee insignia from the coffee shop "Central Perk," where the cast members would spend a lot of time. The star claims that the sign is now hanging in her office at home.
Ralph Macchio: 1947 Ford From "Karate Kid"
Ralph Macchio, aka Daniel San, managed to score a car from a set that he worked on. Fans of the "Karate Kid" series may remember the 1947 Ford Super Deluxe Convertible, in which Daniel (played by Macchio) did his 'wax on, wax off' stunt in the first film.
This iconic car, which also featured in other films of the series, now belongs to Ralph after the star gave the movie's makers a lot of hints about wanting to take the car home. We guess that if you hint hard enough to your producers, then you may just be able to walk away from a set with what you want.
Anya Taylor-Joy: Wardrobe From "The Queens Gambit"
In the first month that "The Queen's Gambit" aired on Netflix, the show was viewed by over 61 million households. We are not sure if the lockdown had something to do with that, but either way, it was the streaming giant's biggest limited series to date. The main protagonist, a chess prodigy, Beth Harmon, was played by actress Anna Taylor-Joy.
The star claims that she was such a massive fan of Beth's wardrobe and, therefore, felt like she scored big when the costume designer allowed her to keep the entire collection. Beth's wardrobe was put together mostly by designer Gabriele Binder, and it received a lot of praise for the vintage period costumes that befittingly referenced a chessboard pattern.
Tracy Morgan: Fish Tank From "30 Rock"
There's no series quite like "30 Rock." Critics and audiences know that Tina Fey had an inherent talent for comedy writing, mostly attributed to her illustrious work on "Saturday Night Live" and "Mean Girls," and yet, many were surprised by the bizarre characters, grinding political commentary, and the zany universe that "30 Rock" found itself in.
One of the eccentric personalities, Tracy Jordan, who actually starred as himself in the show, with a slight change to his family name, managed to take home his dressing room's fish tank. In the series, the fish tank houses Jordan's pet iguana, Jeremy. We aren't too sure where the tank sits today, but we do know that Morgan has lived up to his on-screen character as he boasts a 3500-gallon shark tank in his home today.
Zac Efron: A Few Items From Different Sets
Zac Efron seems to have a thing for taking things from the sets he works on. He has openly admitted to taking not only one or two items home from sets but up to three souvenirs! The "17 Again" star had an interview with BBC Radio 1 in 2019, and he revealed that he kept three items of clothing from sets that he had worked on.
In the 2017 movie "Baywatch," he kept his character's board shorts. He also kept Troy's basketball jersey from "High School Musical" in 2008, and he kept Link Larkin's belt from the "Hairspray" movie in 2007. These are the items he has mentioned to have snatched from his movie sets, but who knows, there could even be more souvenirs that he forgot to mention.
Sarah Jessica Parker: Carrie's Wardrobe From "Sex and the City"
Apparently, Sarah Jessica Parker will forever have plenty of keepsakes from her time as Carrie Bradshaw in "Sex and the City." The star revealed that she has about 95 percent of the wardrobe from her on-screen character. She added that she is saving all of the original pieces in a storage location.
She even packed and stored the items according to season, scene, and episode. She detailed that her most treasured item from the set is her character's nameplate necklace. The star alleged that she's got the necklace tucked away "somewhere safe." This is probably the sweetest story to go with movie set souvenirs we've seen so far.
John Krasinski: A Teapot From "The Office"
It's been a hot minute since the lionized "The Office" series ended, but every once in a while, somebody likes to dwell on it. On a 2020 "Office Ladies Podcast," John Krasinski was interviewed by his ex-costars Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey. Krasinski came clean and revealed to them that he was the one who got the original teapot that Jim Halpert gifted to Pam Beasly in one of the "Xmas Party" episodes.
He added that he got sent a box a few years after the series ended, containing some of "The Office" souvenirs. He got a teapot, his nameplate, and the bag that his character would use on the show. Now we can't help but wonder what the other cast members got to keep from the set.
Cobie Smulders: Denim Jacket From "Let's Go to the Mall"
By 2007, "How I Met Your Mother" was already in its third year of airing, so by then, it had already made a big name for itself in the industry and also with audiences from all around the world. This was also around the time that some of the screenwriters of the show, Carter Bays and Craig Thomas, released a music video, "Let's Go to the Mall."
The song was performed by Cobie Smulders, who portrayed Robin Scherbatsky in the series. The song garnered a lot of positive reviews for its humor and catchiness. Thanks to its adoration, the song officially made it onto the series' soundtrack in 2012. In an interview with the star, she said that she managed to keep the denim jacket from the music video.
Ted Danson: A Wallet From "The Good Place"
Ted Danson portrayed Michael in the comical series "The Good Place" alongside Kirsten Bell and Jameela Jamil. The star told Insider that he managed to walk away with one very special memento from the show. The item that he was referring to was a wallet. Apparently, it played a crucial role in the series' finale.
He added that the wallet contained the picture of all the cast members, so he would forever keep it as the picture (and the wallet) was very dear to him. Furthermore, the star disclosed that he doesn't usually keep mementos from sets, and he didn't even bother to take his legendary mug from "Cheers," which he starred in during the 80s and early 90s, but obviously, the wallet hit differently.
Catherine O'Hara: Wigs and Items From "Schitt's Creek"
The hilarious series "Schitt's Creek" ran from 2015 to 2020, and sorry "Will and Grace," but it was undoubtedly the most necessary comedy to boast prominent LGTBQ characters. Catherine O'Hara graced the screens as Moira Rose in this series, and she was either adored or loathed by the audiences that watched the show.
The first thing one would notice about her while watching the show is her ludicrous accent. Besides Moira's strange accent, she also had a thing for wigs. In January 2020, the star divulged that she was able to get away with a bunch of wigs and a few sets of her character's clothing. We wouldn't put that past Moira!
Sophie Turner: Corset/Scroll From "Game of Thrones"
"Game of Thrones," otherwise known as GOT, ran from 2011 to 2019. The show was rather compelling and captured millions of audiences from all around the world. Some critics even said that it was the best show ever made!
That's debatable, but after the show had ended, Sophie Turner had an interview with "Good Morning America," in which she revealed the items she got to take home from the GOT set. Firstly, she managed to keep her character's corset, and she also added that she got to keep a very special scroll from one of the last episodes of the show.
Hugh Bonneville: Various Items From "Downton Abbey"
"Downton Abbey" aired over six seasons, which ran from 2010 to 2015. The show won a whopping 15 Emmys and has been revered as one of the best period dramas ever created. In 2016, Hugh Bonneville shared the things he got to keep for the set in an interview with Vanity Fair. The star divulged that both items he got to keep now stay framed on his bathroom wall.
He took home two paper mementos, one being an invite to a car race and the other one a telegram declaring the war with Germany. The star added that in the series, all the letters were beautifully handwritten if they weren't typed with a typewriter, which really managed to put one in the moment of the era that the series was aiming to evoke.
Darren Criss: Multiple Mementoes From "Glee"
Darren Criss portrayed Blaine Anderson in the tuneful series "Glee." In 2015, the star revealed to "The Hollywood Reporter" that he and his costar, Chord Overstreet (portraying Sam Evans), managed to take home several pieces of memorabilia from the set of the show. The two walked out on the last day of filming with some trophies from the trophy case.
They also stole some materials to soundproof their respective home studios. Criss also mentioned that he took home the green couch from the principal's office. Plus, how could he walk away from the set without his character's Dalton Warbler jacket? "No one was gonna take it by me," he said.
Nick Offerman: Ron's Poster From "Parks and Rec"
"Parks and Recreation" was undoubtedly one of the best sitcoms ever made. The series ran from 2009 to 2015, sprawling over 124 episodes. Ron Swanson, who was played by Nick Offerman, was bound to leave a mark on anyone who watched the show.
He was a straightforward man, yet he got so much across by saying and doing very little. In 2015, Offerman was asked by "USA Today," which items of memorabilia he got to take home from the set of the production. The actor revealed that he took home one of the three posters that hung in Ron's office — the poster with a woman holding a plate of food.
January Jones: Betty's Silverware From "Mad Men"
The 16-time Emmy-winning series "Mad Men" ran from 2007 to 2015. Betty Draper, the trophy wife of the main guy, Don Draper, was portrayed by January Jones. When the show came to an end in 2015, Jones had an interview with ABC News in which she revealed what she got to walk away with from the set of the renowned series.
Sadly, she didn't get to take home any of her character's wardrobe items, as they were put on display in a Queens museum. That's quite sad because Betty had some stunningly timeless pieces. However, she did manage to leave with her character's silverware from the series.
Noah Schnapp: Roller Skates From "Stranger Things"
The roller skating rink in season four of "Stranger Things" created a lot of flashbacks for many audiences of the show who grew up in the 80s. In an interview with Schnapp, the star explained that during lunch breaks on set, a lot of the cast members would goof around on the 'Rink-O-Mania' set.
He also added that he may have taken home one of the coolest mementos from the set. Apparently, the star got most of the crew and cast members of the show to sign his character's roller skates, which he then managed to take home and now reportedly keeps in his bedroom.
Neil Patrick Harris: Items From "How I Met Your Mother"
After an expansive 208 episodes, the series "How I Met Your Mother" came to an end in 2014. The show was celebrated for its ability to resonate with audiences thanks to the connections and dynamics between the different characters.
Neil Patrick Harris graced our screens with his on-screen character Barney Stinson, and as per Yahoo Entertainment, the star managed to swipe a few items from the set of the series. What he got away with was the famed Playbook. He also took a tabletop from MacLaren's Pub, the bar where the main characters, Lily, Robin, Marshall, Ted, and, of course, Barney, hung out a lot on the show.
Matt LeBlanc: Foosball Ball From "Friends"
Matt LeBlanc used to play Joey in the "Friends" sitcom and also used to be the all-time male hottie from the cast. Joey was so adored by audiences that he later managed to earn his own spin-off series titled after him. In 2020, the star had an interview on "The Tonight Show" with Jimmy Falon, in which he shared that he left the "Friends" set with a couple of memorabilia items from the series.
Of these items, he got a little ball from the foosball table that was kept in Chandler and Joey's apartment, which now stays in his toolbox. He also got away with the Magna Doodle, which was displayed on a wall in one of the apartments of the "Friends" cast. He handed this item over to one of the crewmembers, who used to draw a different doodle for each episode. Way to go, Joey!
Lauren Graham: Clothes From "Gilmore Girls"
The award-winning series "Gilmore Girls" ran from 2000 to 2007, starring Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel as the main girls. In 2016, a revival of the show was announced, after which Graham took to social media to unleash her excitement. In the Twitter post, the star revealed that she had taken a jacket from the set when things ended in 2007.
The star has also written her own book titled "Talking as Fast as I Can," in which she breaks down working in Hollywood as a female, and she also shares some inside information about "Gilmore Girls" and some of the things that happened behind the scenes. In her book, she also detailed that she got to take a pink flamingo that used to hang in Lorelai's kitchen.
Angela Kinsey: A Paperclip Holder From "The Office"
On an "Office Ladies" episode, Angela Kinsey, who played the cat-crazy lady Angela Martin, mentioned that she managed to leave "The Office" with a few pieces of memorabilia. In the series, Angela's office space was decorated with a lot of cat paraphernalia to portray her affection for cats.
Of all the cat decorations, Angela managed to take home a small cat figurine that acts as a paperclip holder. She said, "I took it from Angela's desk, and I still have it. I may have stolen it." She also got given the engagement ring that Dwight used to propose to Angela. We're not sure if Kinsey is a cat person in real life, but it sounds like a sweet souvenir to us!
Ellie Kemper: A Needlepoint From "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt"
Actress Ellie Kemper played Kimmy Schmidt in the witty series "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt." The award-winning series ran from 2015 to 2020, and in case you didn't see it, it hilariously depicted the life of a woman who got rescued from a doomsday underground cult and who tries to start her life over in NYC.
In an interview with Insider, the star shared that she managed to walk away from the set with her costar Cindy's needlepoint because it held a message of hope. Yeah, we guess when you've spent a large portion of your life in a bunker, then you'll definitely need any sort of message of hope!
Dylan O'Brien: A Car and Clothes From "Teen Wolf"
"Teen Wolf" has been rated as one of the best teen dramas by some critics. The award-winning series aired from 2011 to 2017 and was the main avenue to Dylan O'Brien's stardom status that he holds today. O'Brien played the much-loved Stiles Stilinski wolfy.
In an interview in 2020 during a cast reunion, the star claimed that he was rewarded with his character's Jeep from the series. He added that he also got to keep a lot of his character's clothes from the series. The star said all of this in the interview while sporting his character's blue "The Beatles" shirt. Cheeky, but we love it!
Norman Reedus: Many Props From "Walking Dead"
Before Norman Reedus was gracing our screens as Daryl Dixon on "The Walking Dead," he starred in the cult classic "The Boondock Saints," alongside Willem Dafoe. Apparently, Reedus has a known habit of pinching props from the sets he works on.
In 2017, the star had an interview with Fandom, during which he said that he had taken a bunch of clothing items, a turtle shell, Andrew Lincoln's (who portrayed Rick) faux beard, and also a hairpiece of Scott Wilson, who portrayed Hershel. Besides dressing up for Halloween, we're not sure what Reedus is going to do with a faux beard and headpiece, but each to their own!
Lisa Kudrow: A Cookie Jar From "Friends"
Of America's one-time most beloved sixsome, Phoebe from "Friends" was probably the quirkiest, most honest, and most grounded member of the lot. There were a lot of reasons to love the series, and Lisa Kudrow was definitely one of them.
In 2019, the star took to Instagram to share that her costar Matthew Perry (who portrayed Chandler Bing), had given her a very special memento from the series. According to the post, Perry took Monica's iconic "cookie time" jar and gifted it to Kudrow to commemorate their chapter on the series. She added that it was a reference to a joke she once made while shooting the series.
Jake Johnson: Nick Miller's Jeans From "New Girl"
The award-winning series "New Girl" ran from 2011 to 2018. Thanks to the endless jokes, pop culture references, and wit, it was a hit. In the series, one of the new girl's roommates, Nick Miller, was played by Jake Johnson. In an interview with HelloGiggles, the star claimed that he "stole every pair of jeans" from his character's wardrobe.
We're not so sure what makes the jeans so special, but he added that he's going to be seen in those jeans until he weighs 250 pounds. Perhaps they are designer jeans that were made to a tee to fit his body perfectly. That's the only reasonable explanation we can think of.
Sean Astin: Treasure Map From "The Goonies"
The 1985 flick "The Goonies" is an all-time favorite cult classic by Steven Spielberg. Even after all these years, the movie still stands the test of time. Mikey, portrayed by Sean Astin, was only 13 years old when the movie was made. Apparently, when the filming for the movie was done, Astin was allowed to keep the famed treasure map from the set.
Several years later, it came out that his mom, Patty Duke, found it and threw it in the trash because she thought it was just a crinkled piece of rubbish. Oops! We can only imagine that he could not have been too impressed with his mother after that move!
Brian Baumgartner: Many Things From "The Office"
"The Office" fans couldn't get enough of Kevin, who was portrayed by Brian Baumgartner. Kevin was a simple man, but what made him so loveable was the fact that he had absolutely no idea how dumb he could be at times. Some even say that Kevin was the heart of the series.
Baumgartner has told Insider that he physically stole a lot of things from the show. What he got away with from the series was his character's nameplate, a giant pencil that he once used as a joke in season one, and the jar that contained all the M&Ms in the series. Baumgartner makes stealing things from sets look easy!
Rider Strong: Leather Jacket From "Boy Meets World"
When we think back on 90's sitcoms, we look at them with a sweet sense of nostalgia, and that's especially true with "Boy Meets World." The show ran from 1993 to 2000. The critically acclaimed series has been dubbed as one of the best shows ever made, thanks to an incredible script and relatable characters.
Even after all these years that it's not been airing, critics still reminisce about it. Rider Strong portrayed the somewhat rebellious deuteragonist, Shawn Hunter. It has been alleged that when the show ended, none of the actors were allowed to take any memorabilia home, although somehow this rule didn't apply to Strong at all as he managed to walk away with his character's iconic leather jacket. Not bad!
Rupert Grint: A Few Things From "Harry Potter"
The lovable wizard Ron Weasley was played by Rupert Grint in the "Harry Potter" franchise. After spending all those years (10 to be exact), one can only imagine that the characters will walk away with at least one souvenir from the set, and that includes Grint. In a recent Q&A session with British GQ, the star admitted that he pulled a 'shady' move and kept a few things from the movie set.
Apparently, he got away with his Gryffindor tie, Harry's door number of Prive Drive, a chess piece, and a magical light controller that was gifted to his character by Dumbledore. The star added that he had to be clever about the thievery as the security was tight, but in the end, he managed to keep all of these things. Smooth, Rupert, smooth…
Vanessa Hudgens: Necklace From "High School Musical"
The first "High School Musical" movie aired in 2006. To date, the franchise is one of the most successful flicks to air on the Disney Channel, pulling in ratings from millions upon millions of viewers. The movie had everything that was required for a successful musical — a relatable storyline, catchy tunes, and, of course, an engaging cast.
One of the main protagonists of the franchise was played by none other than Vanessa Hudgens. She portrayed Gabriella Montez, and her and Zac Efron's character Troy were the 'it' couple of the movie that made audiences swoon. In 2020, Hudgens had an interview with Cosmopolitan UK in which she shared that she managed to keep a "T" for Troy necklace from the movie set. She added that maybe she should sell it for charity since it is just sitting in a little bag, getting rusted.
Annie Murphy: College Degree From "Schitt's Creek"
When the nine-time Emmy-winning series "Schitt's Creek" ended in 2020, the world was pretty sad. The show was brainstormed by Eugene and Dan Levy, obviously a majorly renowned father-son duo. The series captured the lives of the wealthy Rose family through their adventures or misadventures in the titular town.
Annie Murphy, who portrayed Alexis, admitted that to prepare for the role, she would watch clips of the Kardashians, the Olsens, and Paris Hilton to scavenge their characteristics, and the major commonality she found was their manner of speech — that airy, lazy vocal fry with upspeak that makes every sentence sound like it's meant to be a question. Perhaps it was this that made her such a loveable and laughable character in the series. Murphy admitted to Variety that she managed to leave the set with her character college degree. Sadly, we don't think that Alexis would approve of this!
Josh Radnor: The Blue French Horn From "HIMYM"
The blue French horn is possibly the show "How I Met Your Mother's" most iconic piece of paraphernalia. In case you didn't watch the show, the instrument symbolizes Ted actively pursuing and doing absolutely anything for love, and he seeks Robin in the series, just as he goes out of his way to take hold of the blue French horn.
In a nutshell, the horn is kind of like a symbol of Ted and Robin's relationship. So obviously, this instrument means a lot for Josh Radnor, who portrayed Ted and was the lucky keeper of the horn when the series ended in 2014.
Sophia Bush: A Check From "One Tree Hill"
There's no denying that teen shows are one of life's ultimate guilty pleasures. They are romantic, sometimes soapy, and have the ability to evoke a lot of nostalgia for some. It was no different for "One Tree Hill." The award-winning series ran from 2003 to 2013 and captured tons of audiences around the world thanks to its compelling storyline, complicated characters, and the clever way in which the show captured daily life in America in the aughts.
Throughout the nine seasons of the series, Sophia Bush portrayed Brooke Davis. Apparently, one of the souvenirs that the star kept from the series was the check that Millie wrote to her character when the store Clothes Over Bros opened up in the series. We're not too sure what the star did with the check, but we're hoping she framed it in commemoration of her time on the eminent series' set.
Misha Collins: Trench Coat From "Supernatural"
The "Supernatural" series ran for a mighty 15 seasons, and one of the reasons that it managed to go on for such a long time was thanks to its ability to evolve as the years went by. It started out with simple horror stories and later morphed into something that embraced humorous elements alongside the horror stories.
Misha Collins portrayed Cas alongside the leading duo Sam and Dean Winchester, who were played by Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles, respectively. Most of the time, when out exploring on set, Collins would wear his famed brown trench coat, and it later surfaced that the star managed to keep this item of clothing as a souvenir from his time on the show.
Jennifer Stone: Several Outfits From "Wizards of Waverly Place"
The "Wizards of Waverly Place" ran from 2007 to 2012 and was undoubtedly the reason that cast members from the show got their claim to fame at such ages. Jennifer Stone portrayed the mortal Harper Finkle in the series, and when the show ended, the star alleged that she got to keep several outfits from Harper's wardrobe.
One of these items was the technicolor dress made out of what looks like hundreds of colored markers. Recently, the star even paraded the item on one of her TikTok posts. If you watched the show in the past, then you will know that Harper was quite the fashion icon, and this dress was just one of the many bizarre outfits that she sported on the show.

Joseph Quinn: Reebok Shoes From "Stranger Things"
Joseph Quinn is an actor of British descent who got his claim to fame in the fourth season of Netflix's "Stranger Things." It wasn't long before his character, Eddie, became a fan favorite throughout the show's episodes playing out. His lovable nature stemmed from his humorous mannerisms and the eccentricities that he carried so well in the series.
This is all on top of his legendary hairstyle and authentic attire. The non-conforming president of the Hellfire Club was also never too shy to stick out in a crowd. Apparently, Quinn got away with his character's Reebok high-top shoes, as well as a bunch of Hellfire Club shirts.
Ian Somerhalder: Ring From "The Vampire Diaries"
The award-winning series "The Vampire Diaries" aired for eight seasons from 2009 to 2017. The show was an absolute vampy sensation due to its unusual storylines, slow-burn romances, and startling plot twists. The series also had good jump scares but was in no way scary, so it managed to gain a massive following at the time of airing.
In a press conference held for the series in 2017, the star Ian Somerhalder, who portrayed Damon in the series, revealed that both he and his costar Paul Wesley (who portrayed his brother in the series) got to take home their character's daylight ring.
Ryan Gosling: Ken's Underwear From “Barbie”
In the summer of 2023, Ryan Gosling starred in one of the most talked-about films that the industry has ever seen. Gosling played Ken in the movie "Barbie," and like most of us, his wife Eva Mendes was quite mesmerized by the whole thing. Throughout the film, Gosling can be spotted with Calvin Klein-style jocks with his jeans that say 'Ken' on the waistband.
During film previews, Mendes revealed that her only request from her hubby Gosling was that he bring back home one of these pieces of underwear. She added that she feels like her man has started a renaissance or rather a Ken-aissance. We are not too sure if Gosling managed to keep the briefs, but we do hope so for his wife's sake!
