It All Happened Very Slow

At first, it was the small things that suddenly changed. After years of coming back home after work at a regular hour, Gary suddenly had to work late. He suddenly arrived home much later than expected and always had some kind of excuse. Caitline believed him. What other option did she have?

So, now instead of coming home late only once a week, Gary began staying at the office more and more, and Caitlin didn't like it one bit. She knew her husband inside out and she knew what he was up to something. He had never lied to her. Even when he would hide something from her, like a surprise party or a gift he bought her, she always found out and ruined the surprise for Gary.

Something Was Going On

Caitlin did her best to support and believe her husband. She didn't want to let Gary think she was concerned, but on the other hand, she began losing sleep over it, and as the days went by, her worries kept growing. Caitlin never worked, and Gary provided for the whole family. The last thing she wanted was for him to think that she didn't appreciate him or underestimated his loyalty to his place of work.

The days went by and Gary became distant from Caitlin like never before. He stopped showing affection, he barely showed any interest in her day and what she had been up to and he even spent less and less time with their two children.

It Was Crumbling Down

Caitlin felt as if her world was falling apart. What was once a happy and vibrant home has now turned into four sad, tense, and cold walls. She wanted to put an end to it, however, didn't know where to start. All that Gary seemed to be interested in was his work, and all that Caitlin was thinking about, was Gary and his work too.

There was not much Caitlin could do but embrace her new reality, until one evening, Gary's phone, which was left on the kitchen counter, buzzed. It was a text message, and no matter how hard Caitlin tried not to go and pick it up, her curiosity was stronger than her.

There Was No Way of Hiding It

After assuring Gary wasn't around, Caitlin picked up the phone and prepared herself to see a message related to work. She thought it was probably his boss, or some head of department with a request that couldn't wait for the following day. Who else could it have been if not his work?

She picked up the phone and had to rub her eyes several times as she couldn't believe what she was seeing. She read the words over and over again and it was all there, black on white. No matter how hard she tried, there was no other way to excuse this. These were words of affection from a number she didn't know.

Her Life Was Over

Caitlin felt sick. She couldn't believe what was in front of her eyes. Could every woman's worst nightmare happen to her? Was this the end of the most beautiful decade of her life? Was Gary having an affair? Was Gary in love with another woman?

So many questions were running through her head, and so few answers she was going to get. All of the signs were there, there was no other way to explain that text message. How could he just throw away all those years together? Caitlin felt like the man she was going to bed with every single night, was now a complete stranger.

Maybe Time Was in Her Favor?

At first, Caitlin wanted to wait a few days and confront Gary when she was calmer. She wanted to think of the right words (as if there were any) before she shared her devastated emotions and broken heart. She couldn't wait and she confronted him that same night.

The tears that poured were unstoppable and the accusation was shot out of her mouth with no mercy. She was so disappointed in him. He was the love of her life and he had thrown everything they had away as if it was worth nothing. She sat right across from him and demanded he give her an explanation for the long office hours and the message he received earlier that day.

He Said She Was Wrong

As expected, Gary denied everything. He said she misunderstood everything, however, Caitlin was not giving him an easy ride, eventually, after trying to get out of this situation, he had to come clean. Gary broke down in tears too and admitted he wasn't being faithful. Her name was Olivia and he met her at some work conference he had.

It had been going on for more than four months. Caitlin couldn't believe what she was hearing. For four months her husband has been keeping some other woman company while she was at home taking care of their two children. Her world crumbled down before her.

She Had to Do Something About It

Gary said that despite all this, he still loved her. Caitlin was his life and the last thing he wanted to do was jeopardize it. He was willing to do anything to save his family and stay together. Caitlin was confused and wasn't sure what was the right thing to do at this point.

On one hand, Gary was the father of her children and the love of her life, and this was the first time he was unfaithful to her. But on the other hand, how could she ever trust him? How could they ever get their life back to normal? What was the right thing to do?

It Was Time for a Change

She loved Gary, and she couldn't just put these emotions aside. On the other hand, she couldn't ignore the pain he had caused her. It took her a while, however, she knew deep inside what was the thing she had to do. There was no other option and life was not going to be the way it was.

She wasn't sure which words to use, she didn't know if she should be angry and shout, or be content and calm but one thing she did know. Gary had to leave the house and the sooner the better. She had made up her mind. She asked Gary to pack his clothes and leave.

Things Were About to Take a Different Turn

The hardest part was trying to explain to the children what was going on. With pouring tears and a broken heart, she told them the devastating news. Thankfully, Sarah was there. Sarah was Caitlin's best friend and was supportive of her no matter what decisions she took in life. She was everything.

She was a shoulder to cry on, an ear to listen to her, and most of all she was a reasonable voice in the noisy background that Caitlin needed more than anything. Caitlin knew it was all a matter of time. Soon the pain would turn into resilience and things would not look so bad anymore.

A Long Healing Process

Sarah was right, and time was doing exactly that. Caitlin started taking yoga lessons and they filled her with much more than she ever anticipated. She found peace and tranquility within herself. Another thing she did was, she began to write a journal. These pages were blank sheets for her to pour out her agony and spill out her emotions.

It was very therapeutic for her. Caitlin couldn't help it but the urge for revenge wouldn't leave her alone. No matter how hard she tried, she just couldn't stop thinking about Gary and how she wanted to get back at him. What could she do?

Everything Was Now Clear

Suddenly Caitlin found herself searching her memory back in time and trying to see if there were more signals and more hidden secrets that she didn't realize back then. She began reflecting on everything that had happened to better understand what options she had. It was now time for revenge. As Gary was the only provider of the family, she had to be very careful with her decisions.

She didn't want to find herself struggling to provide for her children. She kept asking herself if she was doing the right thing and kept on looking for a way she might be able to forgive him. Life was going to get even more complicated and the following events were nothing like Caitlin had planned.

He Wouldn't Let Go

Gary didn't stop calling her. He sent her countless messages, recorded himself pleading for forgiveness explaining this was just a mistake, and assured her it would never happen again. Deep inside, Caitlin was heartbroken too and wanted to forgive him so badly, however, it was just something too hard to do.

She loved him more than anything, however, the thought of him being with another woman was an image she just could not get out of her head. There was no going back for her or for him. What's done is done and someone is going to have to pay the price.

Was She Doing the Right Thing?

Occasionally, Caitlin would have a change of heart and even consider working on their relationship, if not for her then for the sake of the kids, but one day, those thoughts and feelings left her head and heart and never returned. Caitlin came across something she hadn't seen before.

This was something she shouldn't have seen, a game changer for her as far as she was concerned. One evening, Caitlin was going through a box of letters she had been keeping for years. There were letters she and Gary wrote to each other over the years when their future together still seemed pure and promising.

Hidden Letters

The letters revealed the innocent love they shared and the dreams they both had. Then, Caitlin snapped. She wasn't going to allow herself to fall into this sweet trap and get all soft again. Gary was unfaithful. He didn't think about her or the children for one second, and all that was important was himself and his new bit on the side, whoever she was.

Caitlin couldn't help asking herself if Greg had written the same love letters to this other woman. Was he in love with her? Was there any point when he planned on leaving her and making a new family with her? Caitlin was determined. It was now time for revenge.

Time to Say Goodbye

Caitlin couldn't help herself. She took all of the love letters she found and burnt them. She wished her broken heart and her horrific feelings and thoughts would burn along with them, however, they never did. She wanted the whole world to suffer just as much as she did and she not going to stop until this happened.

Enough was enough and Caitlin came up with a way to get back at Greg. The love letters she found were an inspiration and now it was time for her to write a new letter of her own. What was She up to? Was this finally going to give Caitlin the peace of mind she was so desperately after?

Time for a New Me

Caitlin was not going to pour her emotions onto the paper. She wasn't going to feel sorry for herself anymore. She wasn't going to beg Gary to come back to her and she was not going to accept his forgiveness either. She was much more clever than that. She began by listing the topics she wanted to cover in her letter.

She reviewed them one by one until she felt these points covered it all. The words she was about to use, explaining each and every one of these points, had to be the most accurate ones she could find. She had to calm down, breathe, and think.

She Left No Words Behind

This was now the perfect time to let all of those bad thoughts and negative feelings out of Caitlin's system and put them on paper. There was no room for them in her body and soul anymore. For her, this letter was supposed to bring her agony to a stop and end all of the drama that was going on in her life.

She couldn't afford any more excitement of that kind. She was assured and confident that what she was planning to do, was the right thing and that there was nothing wrong with it. No one could tell her otherwise.

She Was Going to Let It All Out

Caitlin sat down and began to write. This letter was not intended for Gary. She was writing it to this other woman. Caitlin wanted her to know that she was held responsible for and how much damage she had caused. She wanted her to know that there was a price to pay for her actions, and Caitlin was going to go through them one by one.

This was not going to be an ordinary bill to pay, and the price was going to be very high. She started off the letter by thanking Olivia. Telling her that she has no idea what torture of a life she has just saved her and her children from.

He Was Not Worth as Much as She Thought

Caitlin continued the letter by saying that Gary, her husband, was Olivia's for good. She could keep him as he was no longer needed. She added that now that she has got her prize, there are a few rules she had to follow. Caitlin was cynical and very confident in the way she put down things on paper, however, this was part of her healing process.

And besides, she wanted Olivia to know exactly what she had earned herself. Caitlin had to make sure Olivia realized, Gary wasn't such a bargain and that now she had come to her senses and was gladly letting him go.

He Was Now Everything She Didn't Want

Caitlin wrote; “You are going to have to support him financially. I say this because we have two children… which means that he will have to give up a sizable chunk of his pay to support them.” This was not all. Caitlin made it very clear that if for one second Olivia thought she was in for a good financially stable life, she was in for a surprise.

“Please keep in mind that, since he has kept me a stay-at-home mom for the better part of the last ten years, he will also be paying me alimony.” Caitlin was not going to stop there either.

It's Shopping Time

The next paragraph of the letter covered the new wardrobe Olivia would have to buy for him. Caitlin explained that when she discovered what her husband was doing instead of being at work like he said he was, a surprising black hole appeared from nowhere and devoured almost all of his clothing.

As he just came out of the shower, it left him in his birthday suit (and ashamed). It went on by saying that Olivia could now buy him whatever she wanted and even a cute little dress if she felt like it. He was all hers and she could do whatever she wanted.

There Was More to Come

Next, she detailed the price Olivia had to pay every other weekend. She explained how Gary would have to take the kids once a fortnight, and not only that. Miss Olivia would have to be excluded from those visits.

As Gary already admitted, Olivia was just someone who had too much to drink when he was at "Tweakers." There was no way she was going to allow her kids to be around someone who obviously had drinking problems. This little story of how they met was also going to limit his visits. What family man visits "Tweekers" in the first place?

And More...

The next point Caitlin detailed was the most daring one of them all. She felt that if she was going to write Olivia a letter, she was going to let it all out. She went on about their intimate life, which will probably not exist.

She explained that following a back injury Gary suffered four years earlier, his manhood wasn't functioning whenever desired, and that it was too bad because before that accident, he was the best she ever had. She emphasized the fact that it cannot be fixed, and no, it is not temporary. This is part of the deal. Enjoy!

A One-Path Solution

There was no going back from here now. Caitlin made it clear that there were no returns and that she did not want to hear from him after Olivia threw him out for not living up to her expectations. In the letter, Caitlin promised that she would make sure that Gary and Olivia have a hard time just like their kids are having and there would be no exceptions.

They are both going to pay for their actions. The letter ended with Caitlin thanking Olivia for leaving bite marks on Gary's chest (there was no way of hiding them) and thanking her for revealing to her what her husband was all about.

You Get What You Wish For

Gary found himself with Olivia, presented with their part of the deal which wasn't all that appealing, and Cailtlin, although still heartbroken and hurting, found her way for revenge. The letter enabled her to express herself in the most efficient way, with no interruptions or others telling her otherwise.

This was the end of the Caitlin and Gary story, it was the end of the Caitlin and Olivia story. However, it was a fresh and new beginning of another life. A life that was clean of secrets, a life of honesty, and a life of long-lost love letters already forgotten.

Some might see him as a villain. Others might see him as the hero we never knew we needed. Tic Tac sees a car and just gets the urge. Maybe he thinks it’s funny. Parking can be a very sensitive subject. Like, in some cities, driving around searching for parking can take well over half an hour! So yeah, we get why people will take extreme measures in order to reserve a parking spot. It is the holy grail, as far as drivers are concerned.

If you’re lucky enough to have a designated parking spot, there is no way you are letting someone else snag it for free! This potential Vaseline bandit thinks it's totally fine to threaten whoever thinks they can just swoop in and take their spot, and honestly, we can't judge them.

Everyone knows cats are sneaky little rascals, and nothing is more enticing to them than an area they are not allowed to go to. In this case, the great outdoors. After all, they did originally hail from the jungle, so it only makes sense that they like to go out and about, from time to time.

One sign seemingly was not enough to prevent these cunning critters from making a run for it the second the door opened. Actually, it seems like two signs might also have not been enough. You know what they say: the third time is the charm.

Effective Immediately

It is always awkward to put in your two-week notice at any job. And yeah, maybe it is a little bit unprofessional to put that notice on a note….of lined paper clearly taken from a notebook….with a stick figure drawing announcing you are quitting. We'd say that email is the bare minimum format in this day and age.

But honestly, mad points for creativity. It is kinda savage if you think about it. She did not even give a two-week notice; she just wrote: “Effective immediately.” We guess it's true when they say when you've got to go, you have got to go. And that can also apply when jobs are concerned.

Real Life Office Space

So in case anyone here did not get the message, the “that would be grrreaaat” at the end is from the classic movie "Office Space," repeatedly spoken by the unbearable boss Lumberg. We love that cult classic flicks, which are based around the workplace. So, it makes perfect sense to use that language in everyday notes, especially in an office setting.

This guy clearly cares very little about this job since he put exactly zero effort into spelling or grammar. Props for the reference, though; we hope his boss appreciated it. We just love how lackadaisical the message is for the boss. We would potentially expect something a bit more formal to throw in the professional towel.

Moving on to a Better Place

Dang, people are starting to get really creative with their quitting notices. It is pretty creative to go in the direction of a Hallmark "I’m sorry for your loss" card. As if this person would effectively draw the comparison between losing a loved one and handing in one's notice.

Clearly, Alex saw himself as a keystone member of the crew whose absence would be taken very hard. At least he was kind enough to give them a two-week notice. We love it when employees act ironically sad when they are, in reality, just so excited to run out of the door.

A Game by Sadists

This is, without a doubt, one of the more vicious notes we’ve seen, and in our opinion, only the most intelligent people could have thought of this. It’s fairly well known that traffic cops, parking police, and meter maids are universally hated no matter where you live in the world. (We’d like to point out that these people are only doing their job, and we fully support that).

But nobody, and we mean nobody, likes getting a ticket. So, forcing the traffic warden to search for the correct parking ticket that gives you permission to park there is just evil. But also, it is genius.

What Makes You So Special?

Okay, we have to ask the obvious question before delving into this one. Does the person who drew this always walk around with chalk in their bag, or did he specifically wait for the nearest Walmart to open their gates? Phew, I'm glad we got that off our chests.

We’ve all encountered people who seem to think they deserve everything ( and that parking spots await them). This type of person thinks they can park wherever they please, regardless of parking lines. Well, this person was ready with the chalk to call them out on just how douchey their behavior really is.

No Spoilers Please

There are few shows where each and every episode is truly epic and cannot be missed. "Game Of Thrones" happens to be one of them. Whether you were a fan or not, during the GOT heyday, you couldn’t walk around and not hear everything that happened in the previous episode.

If you were super into the show (and if you weren't, we find it very hard to believe) but happened to have missed the last episode, chances are, someone was gonna spoil it. This person really thought ahead and wanted to make sure no one spoils the show for them. We have to applaud the foresight.

Misplaced Love

You leave the house in the morning, getting ready for another day in the office, overwhelmed by the affection sharing you witnessed the previous night. And then this. We can only imagine the disappointment one might feel after they get a written love note left on their car, only to realize it wasn't actually meant for them. Ouch.

Now, in all fairness, the person who wrote the note can’t let the car owner go on thinking the love note was, in fact, intended for them. That being said, we can’t help but feel a little bit bad for the unintended recipient.

Short and Sweet

Some people don’t like to mince words. Keeping things short, sweet, and to the point is their style. They don't believe in giving explanations and don't leave too much room for imagination. When they have something to say, they just say it. No matter how few words they have to use.

There’s absolutely no question here that whoever wrote this note is one of those people or maybe even the king of those people. Is the message clear? Absolutely. Is it missing some sort of emotional touch? Yes. Most definitely. But we’re not here to judge. To each his own, ya know?

If you have to call someone else for blocking your driveway, it seems that maybe it would soften the blow to quote a popular tune. The person who blocked the driveway probably doesn't deserve something this creative, but they got it anyway.

When you get the urge to quote, you just do, and there's nothing that can stop you, even if someone is stopping you from getting out of your driveway. What to spice things up even a little more? How about adding a barcode to scan leading to the song on YouTube. That way, there will be no room for misunderstanding.

Applause for the Attempt

This solid attempt to get out of jury duty deserves a round of applause. We couldn't have thought of a more creative, honest, and BOOM in-your-face way of doing this. In order to get out of your civic duty, you might have to prove you’re just insane enough not to be able to judge someone else.

Implying that anyone who enters the court will get what’s coming to them because you’ve deemed yourself a vigilante for justice is, quite frankly, genius. Could you imagine a criminal defendant knowing that some lunatic like this is going to determine their future? God help us (of them).

A Sign from Prime

The holiest keeper of cars, Optimus Prime, is the perfect way to let someone know their parking is a complete mess without making the note too blunt. Whoever parked that car may never know who actually wrote the note, but they will know their parking job sucked, and the note writer definitely invested a bit of time in that tiny caricature at the bottom.

We have one question. What if the car driver who terribly parked the car was born after the year 2000 and has no idea who Optimus Prime is? Is there a modern equivalent we can refer them to?

Creativity Passive Aggressive

When two or more people live together, and it doesn't matter if they are blood-related or not, there are going to be arguments. We’re fairly certain one of the biggest disputes between people who share the same four walls is dishes. Dirty dishes.

Leaving a note is the ultimate passive-aggressive move, but honestly, if you’re able to add a little bit of creativity to it, then maybe it’s not so bad. We’d like to assume this note came after multiple times the recipient of the note was asked to start doing the dishes more often. A last resort, if you will.

It’s a SPOON SPOON!

This one feels supremely justified and quite a creative solution. Nobody wants all kinds of different hands touching the object that’s going into their mouth. We think it’s a great idea and applaud whoever thought of it. But also, we can’t let go of the fact that they seriously missed the opportunity to say SPOON SPOON!

Now, the more we think of it, the more we begin to realize that the one behind this must be Mr. Seinfield. This followed George's double-dipping incident, and he decided to put an end to it. Not sure what we are talking about? Seinfeld Season 4 Episode 19.

Sorry Not Sorry

The old adage "what goes around comes around" seems to have played out in a recent employment situation. The employer in question appeared to lack empathy when their employee required time off for personal reasons. In response, the employee delivered a scathing and sarcastic "apology," suggesting that their need for time off was not taken seriously by their employer.

While this may seem harsh, it's possible that the employer's lack of understanding was equally unforgivable. Perhaps this situation will serve as a lesson to the employer, reminding them to treat their employees with compassion and respect, especially in difficult circumstances. In the end, it's crucial for companies to prioritize the well-being of their staff, recognizing that happy employees make for a productive and successful workplace.

A Real Funny Guy

To be honest, we are not sure if this practical joke is some type of revenge thing or rather a gag between friends or family members. What we do know is that momentary feeling when you see a piece of paper on your windshield, and your heart drops into your stomach, is not fun, to say the least.

I guess we’ll never know what the receiver did to deserve this prank, but we imagine it probably did the trick. And we will also never know how the receiver reacted to the fake ticket. What we do know is that they took a photo of it and posted it on social media. So they didn't ignore it, that's for sure.

Touching Reindeers

Whoever wrote this original note wasn’t politely asking their co-workers not to touch their mug. As far as they’re concerned, it’s a given that no one touches the reindeer mug! After all, the reindeer mug is sacred. It was forged in the mines of Lapland and is only ever drunk out of by Santa Claus himself and this employee.

Clearly, this assumption is just begging for the mug to be touched — and touched it was. Luckily for the guy who wrote the note, it seems that it was only touched, nothing more. But maybe that makes it worse? You'll have to ask him. And hopefully, coffee time isn't too awkward.

A Well Deserved Goodbye

The passive-aggressiveness is just oozing from every angle of this letter. There is nothing apologetic about this note, and from the sounds of it, rightfully so. It's just downright direct, takes no prisoners and gets down to brass tacks - just the way we like it (as innocent bystanders, that is).

By reading this letter and a few others on this list, it is safe to say that we think it’s time employers wake up and start treating their employees like human beings. The better the work conditions, the less likely employers will be to receive resignation letters like this one, calling them out on their BS.

Grumpy Cat's Disapproval

It’s hard not to be charmed by the cute face of Grumpy Cat! After all, we love cats as much as the next person. They're furry, calming, mysterious, and bring a lot of charm and warmth to any household. The important thing here is not to focus on that and miss the message completely.

Of course, Grumpy Cat is grumpy because he is calling someone out for snagging someone else’s parking spot. Big no-no. If Grumpy Cat says it is so, then it must be so. We hope whoever received this message got that point and immediately moved the vehicle. For the sake of the cat, at least.

Really?

The use of Post-It notes with the word "really?" printed on them has sparked some curiosity as to their origin. Did they find them pre-printed or did they create them themselves? Either way, it's clear that the dishes have been a recurring issue in the household, leading to the use of such notes. It's understandable why the note-taker would feel the need to use them. After all, the lack of cleanliness can become frustrating, and a reminder can be helpful. Some Sarcasm

A little sarcasm goes a long way. It can push the recipient in the right direction when it comes to understanding your point. But you don't want to go overboard with the sarcasm. It’s not just your simple request not to park too far out into the road. It feels more like a “did you really do that?” kinda thing.

On some levels, this stings more than just a polite note. It seems like the person who wrote it feels pretty justified in their complaint, so in a moment of anger, they wrote a passive-aggressive note. We can’t really blame them and we want to see more of this kind of language on notes in the future.

If you hold your employees to a certain level of compliance, then it’s only fair that you follow your own rules as well. After all, the classic phrase "do as I say, not as I do" exists for a reason, you know. As a boss, you should set an example, and the hope is that your employees work according to that.

Well, this boss definitely did not set the right example, and well, this is what happens. Workers lose patience, and then the employer ends up with a closed store when it was supposed to be open and an angry note on the door for everyone to see. This is not how you do it.

A Secret Message

A standing ovation is here for whoever put this much effort just to secretly show the world what they truly feel about their boss. It really is a sort of "blink, and you'll miss it" situation. The creativity is very impressive, and they really got the ticket spot on.

The beauty in this one is that the boss might actually never find out, but he will need to catch on eventually after the employee no longer shows up to work since their week's notice is over. We want to know just how long it took their boss to find that note!

This one is supremely awkward. Yes, some people are married to noticeably attractive people. No, this does not give others the right to focus solely on them and completely ignore their significant other or friends or whoever else may be sitting with them. We want couple equality on all fronts, people.

It’s pretty likely this waiter didn’t get a good tip, and if they have any feelings whatsoever, they’ll probably be pretty embarrassed to discover why. We think this is a pretty legitimate reason not to give the tip. We don't care if the food and service were incredible. Obviously, the latter wasn't.

Leaving a note after clogging a toilet may seem like an embarrassing and awkward task, but it's the right thing to do. Whoever left the note in this particular instance showed consideration and thoughtfulness by updating others before they had the chance to discover the damage for themselves.

That being said, he might have slightly missed the mark with this one. Maybe going with “You look cute” or “Would you like to grab a drink sometime?” would have been slightly more appropriate. But we could imagine some recipients blushing at this cheeky pickup line.

Muffin or Doorknob?

If you have to lose a doorknob, you might as well lose it to a neighbor who is, as he says, trippin’ pretty hard. The fact he thought it was a muffin instead of a doorknob has us dying to know what did he do with the knob once he had it?!

Try to eat it?! Realize immediately it wasn’t actually a muffin?! We have questions, and we must have answers! One thing is for sure: if you try to eat a doorknob, then you will probably chip at least some of your teeth if you do not break them completely.

Seems Uncalled for

There are two scenarios that usually occur when you see someone has left their car door open by accident. Scenario number one is that they are good samaritans, and they simply close the door. Scenario number two: they are not good samaritans, and they steal all your stuff.

This scenario here is definitely an outlier and one you do not come across every day. Why on earth would someone who sees an open car door leave a note that says...well...this? We can only imagine what goes on in the mind of this peculiar offender. If we were the driver, we would just go and buy another car.

Anonymous Words of Wisdom

Sometimes, all you need is just a little pick-me-up. In this case, the pick me up came in the form of an anonymous note letting you know wherever you are in life is just fine. And to carry on the metaphor of the note. Life is like a puzzle. It is full of pieces that make up the entire picture, which ends up being beautiful.

We are all just kinda figuring it out as we go, and a little reminder you’re doing fine is always welcomed. People should leave more notes like this around. Either that, or they should leave some puzzles around for people to play. They are actually pretty fun to do.

There’s always something so charming about personifying inanimate objects. Whoever wrote this note made the printer seem like the politest old little guy who just doesn’t have it in him to keep going. After all, a lot of printers out there are, in fact, old, and being replaced by younger, more effective printers.

How could you be mad at the printer for conking out after 14 full years of service? We approve of this kind of note and think maybe people should use this approach more often with electronics. Either that, or the printer actually typed out that note himself as some sort of end-of-life malfunction.

If You Gotta Eavesdrop…

Eavesdropping can be an uncomfortable and even unethical practice, but sometimes it's unavoidable. In this instance, the eavesdropper went above and beyond by leaving a note that not only acknowledged their actions but also put a smile on the person's face.

The eavesdropper's intentions were clearly good, as they wanted to give the person a vote of confidence during what seemed to be a difficult time for them. It takes courage to reach out to someone, even anonymously, and the eavesdropper deserves credit for their thoughtfulness. They put their complaints in extremely courteous words, making sure that the whole matter was as civilized as possible. Even though car alarms going off for no reason is one of the most aggravating things on the planet.

You can plainly see that Sir Tyrannosaurus Rex is a dinosaur of elegant breeding and habits; just check out the tophat and wine glass. Let's face it: when your second name is Rex (which literally means king in Latin), you know you are some kind of boss.

The thought of a 7-foot snake slithering around freely can be terrifying, so it's understandable why people might have been concerned after receiving the note from Nick. However, the irony of the situation lies in the fact that Nick claimed to have "accidentally" lost the snake, yet reassured others that there was nothing to worry about.

Passive-aggressive behavior can be quite frustrating to deal with, especially when it comes from someone living in close proximity. BMW people are not like us common folk. Or at least that's what they like to think. The truth is that on the inside, they are just as insecure as the next person, only with fatter wallets. As evidenced by this note, this inconsiderate BMW owner took up some unnecessary parking space.

This note writer, who also happens to be a "worthless Toyota driver" (just to get the point across) thought it was good to let the driver know. We appreciate the humor! Listen though, we don't care if you're driving a BMW, a Toyota, or a toy car - don't take up as much parking space as necessary!

The Dog Park

Listen up, doggo, if you wanna sit on the ground and chill all day, make sure you're not doing it in someone else's parking spot. This car owner needs a spot to put their car because, evidently, there is nowhere else to do so. It also appears that this is the only space for the dog. Sounds like a conflict.

The best part about this? The dog will obviously get the memo once he reads the note on the windshield. Must be a very intelligent dog! Come to think of it; we have a feeling that this person might not have been addressing a literal dog who can drive a car with his bare paws.

Karma

Malcolm's note seemed to exude a sense of satisfaction that can only come from rubbing something in someone's face. His joy must have been palpable, but it serves as a warning to us all. Our behavior towards our neighbors can have far-reaching consequences, and we never know when we might need their help.

It's easy to fall into the trap of thinking that we don't need to be nice to those around us, but the truth is that we never know when we might need their assistance. Malcolm's message reminds us that we should always strive to be kind and understanding.

I’ll Monster Truck You

There are few things worse than when a car blocks you in. It can really ruin your entire day and make you very late to work. In this person’s case, it clearly had a very negative impact on their morning, as seen by the intimidating note that they left. We are wondering how they have access to a monster truck.

You can be sure that if this car blocks this person in again, there will be serious consequences, and to be honest, we don’t blame them. We know just how much that can ruin your day. And no offense to the monster truck owners out there - but they're pretty big.

Letting the Whole Neighborhood See

When we as humans are at our most intimate and uncovered, most of us prefer to have some element of safety. We only get this way when we are alone or with one specific person. So receiving a note like this one in your mailbox, which very gently lets you know that you might be showing off a little more than you had imagined, is mortifying for most.

They thought they were the proper amount of sneaky with it, but curtains can show more than you think if you don’t take the time to test things out. These neighbors were able to watch the whole show, and whether or not they were interested, they were able to figure out what was happening easily. It's time to invest in some heavier drapes. Or maybe turn the light off.

Not Sure How We’d Take This One

“J,” a girl, gets this note from someone, and it goes on for a while. The guy worked on a 147-acre farm like a man when he was ten. It’s hard to compete with that. Then again, there are lots of other people out there who know how to spell this woman’s name and will be able to leave their own name at the bottom without being an embarrassment.

They probably won’t just leave a note that will make J want to start carrying a weapon with her at all times. At least he was able to leave a compliment and say that she smells good. If you want to attract a woman, it’s always a good idea to lead with a good word. But maybe don’t say that you’re obsessed after one meeting.

Kinda Looks Like a Baby Ruth

A new employee starts working and decides to bring in a snack for all the other employees, along with a note saying how excited he or she is to start working. So far, that sounds great. Quite thoughtful and an excellent way to not only let people know you’re working there but to immediately make a statement. If it had stopped there, we would have had no notes. But...you see...the brownies have a particular shape.

The funny thing is, if they weren’t in that shape, they would look amazing, which tells us something we never knew about brownies. Apparently, this is for an outpatient clinic, which does explain a little – if you work in the health field, you start to worry less about how things look. They can have a twisted sense of humor.

A Very Heavy Note

Clearly, this person is not happy about anything that is happening in his or her life, but at least they have some pretty good handwriting. It’s hard not to feel bad for this person since he or she is very clearly suffering in some way. Is this just the same kind of aimless teenage angst that we all feel between the ages of thirteen and nineteen?

Or is it the more long-running dread that people in their twenties have been experiencing thanks to our brave new world? A change in scenery is one of many ways people try to elevate themselves out of their lengthy funks, but this was clearly not the proper tactic for this person. They at least liked the place they stayed, we guess, so there’s that.

We Think This One Might Be a Little Unreal

A person reports that he or she found this note wedged into the door and was embarrassed about it, but it’s pretty clear that this isn’t really a note that a neighbor wanted to pass on. For one, Reddit and karma (the fake internet points that you can accrue on that site) are pretty blatant and are probably a reference to all the other notes of this variety that people “find” that are half bragging and half trying to create something that is popular on the site.

This one is clearly fake, but we’re not sure if any of the other notes on this page will be real or not. It can sometimes be hard to tell, but there are always going to be those cynical people who refuse to believe anything. Because they’re broken inside.

They Can Get Quite Hot

Using a hair dryer on your hair helps to keep it looking good and ready for stepping out of the showers at your local gym, but that’s more or less the only thing you should use it for, other than drying off books like in “The Incredibles.” It’s called a hair dryer, and that is what it’s for. If you’re in a gym locker room and see anything else being dried off, it can pretty quickly turn your stomach.

Not only that but there are some safety reasons why the management wouldn’t want to encourage any misuse. Stuff can be melted, and people can angrily want it replaced. Well, you shouldn’t have shot hot air at it, then. Also, there’s a sanitation problem for some people, so please just use it on your hair. Your HEAD hair.

We’re So Sorry About Your Ebb and Flow

This is a whole lot of words that basically come down to, “You’re parking somewhere I don’t like, and I’m going to make up reasons to get you to move.” Maybe this person is parking on the street (which would certainly, in the words of the note, "certainly ruin the ebb and flow," whatever that means).

Maybe the person was parking in front of the note-giver’s property, which would make us a little more willing to be on their side. Some of us have probably had to deal with something like this, so we might be ready to get in line behind the person who left this note so we can leave our own. Honestly, though, this note seems a little more mean-spirited. “Ebb and flow.” Give us a break.

No, Daddy Loves You More Than That

This guy built a little blackboard for his daughters to leave him notes, and at some point after it, a neighbor came over to borrow something. We’re assuming it was a tool, but we don’t know why. The owner of the house (whom we are going to call Daddy) then caught sight of the blackboard, which now bore this message.

It almost looks like the daughters themselves left the message, but it’s hard for anybody to write on a blackboard very well their first time. It’s really only teachers who ever gained the skill in the first place, but now they all have whiteboards, so it doesn’t matter anyway. Now the big question: did Daddy leave this message up for his children to find, or did he get rid of it as soon as possible?

Hiding the Truth

This coaster brings up a somewhat salient point – at what point does a desire for alcohol go from a hobby or something you do with your friends into a problem? The somewhat recent advent of fun microbreweries or little pubs that have exploded across America can help to hide the truth for a little longer. However, even the people who are downing one special, fancy, limited-edition beer after another will eventually realize that they need a little bit of help.

Then again, a person who writes such a nice note on a coaster probably won’t feel like doing anything about it any time soon. We do hope that this note was at least partially in jest – it’s hard to enjoy it when someone really needs to get help.

The Right Kind of Note to Leave

Maybe you’ve worked in a place that has a communal fridge. Maybe you’ve worked at a place that has had a number of thefts from the fridge, and tempers have been blown. For some, the workday is a difficult time, and knowing you have a soda waiting in the fridge for you might be the only thing that helps you get through all eight hours of your day.

But then you open the fridge to find it stolen... Well, this person did some stealing but was willing to replace it. We wonder why he took it in the first place. Was he desperate for caffeine? Did he require a jolt of sugar for some diabetes-related reason? Was he unaware of ownership and, once notified, ashamed of his actions? No matter the reason, good on Justin.

They’re Sometimes Food, People

There are a lot of businesses that have found a little pick-me-up like a candy dish to be a really handy way to keep morale higher. Maybe an employee has been staring at their screen for a few hours and needs to take a little trip to the candy dish. Far too often, however, the candy dish is empty because a lot of people love candy. And that shouldn’t really come as a surprise – people like candy; wow, what a revelation.

But it’s certainly true that some people like candy a little too much. Of course, this depends on how big of a business it is. If there are a hundred people there, we bet that this candy dish will be emptied right away, no matter how big or full it is. If it’s only a dozen people, that’s a little worse.

We’re Amazed This Note Had to Be Written

Public bathrooms can be a dangerous place when it comes to people who don’t have much of a brain in their skulls. What other thought could go through your head if you find a door to a public bathroom that is locked? What other option than “there is someone already using this stall” could there possibly be? Using a public bathroom isn’t the most difficult or dangerous thing in the world, but there are some people who can struggle in such an environment.

They’re used to things being a little more private and personal. So when someone comes and tries to rattle open the door, they, in turn, get rattled. Maybe the other person was deep in thought or something like that, but it still shouldn’t be done.

Like From a Detective Show

Writing a note on some stationary and then tearing the piece off might seem like you haven’t left any evidence, but as we can just barely see, the imprint goes through to the next page. It’s tough to read this one – it says, “If you were a pineapple...you’d be a pineapple.” After those words, there’s a drawing of a pineapple with sunglasses on and a couple of exes and ohs.

It's probably not as fun to find as a private gumshoe finding where they were taking the money, but it's still kinda fun. It’s an old line, but if you’ve never heard it before, it can still make you laugh. Most likely, this is just a sweet note from one person to another, like so many other notes they’ve passed.

Not So Much an Announcement as a Notification

It seems the neighbors have all seen enough and decided they would leave a note. Quite a fancy note, too. Not everybody is an expert at two-way glass, and it seems that the person who installed this one wasn’t paying attention to which side of it was supposed to go in. The people who used the bathroom didn’t notice since they couldn’t see out – it was just frosted glass to them. No problem.

But the people who could see in figured it would be best to let them know there was, indeed, a problem. How much did they see before they figured they needed to leave a message? This kind of note is embarrassing, but it’s like being told your fly is down – you’d rather be told than find out yourself after getting home from the opera.

Don’t Leave This Kind of Thing Out in the Open

We’ll get this out of the way quickly – if you’re staying in a hotel room and you’re there for a couple of days, don’t leave something really nice and fancy, and that could be hocked for a quick stack of cash out where the housekeeper could see it. We’re not saying it WILL be stolen or that all housekeepers are thieves, but it is certainly leaving things up to chance when you could at least put your 3DS in your bag.

That aside, that’s a super fun note to receive from the housekeeper, as long as the housekeeper did actually leave it. There’s always a chance every single one of these notes is fake, but we hope this one is real. It’s pretty great.

Things That Go Bang in the Night

People living in apartments become accustomed to a lot of things. The sounds of people walking over your head, people running down the hallway, smells that might be coming in from balconies, or other things like that. They can be dealt with mostly, but if you can’t sleep over a period of nights, they get harder and harder to stomach.

A really loud, rhythmic knocking sound while you're trying to sleep – and it’s very likely right above your head – is one of the worst, and everybody knows exactly why it’s happening, too. Plenty of people have written or received these notes, begging for a little bit of peace and quiet. It can be a touchy subject. And not just because of all the bodily contact that is happening.

And a Handy Gift at the Same Time

A note AND a present, how nice. But this note isn’t a very nice one, even if all of us have wanted to leave the same kind of note a bunch of times. There are some places where people just consider the lines marking the spots to be more like guidelines than rules.

Apparently, the person who received this note was taking up a full three spots, and that was too much for this person to stomach. They wanted to make sure the person who had parked was aware that he (and odds are it’s a he, for some reason) shouldn’t have any kids. There was also an aid to help facilitate not having any kids; how nice.

The Book was Better

Those who read “The Hobbit” before seeing the movies were in for a wild ride – a whole lot had been changed, stretched out, and added to make it three movies long when it really didn’t need to be. We could see two movies, maybe, but it would have excelled at a shorter, simpler story that didn’t try to bring all the amazement of the “Lord of the Rings” movies back.

This note was left inside a copy of “The Hobbit” that someone picked up at the store, and it was a little bit of a warning. The book won’t be the same as the new trilogy, no, but you’ll still be able to get something out of it. You might even be able to get more out of it than you thought.

The Kind of Note an LT Would Write

Ten cents isn’t a lot, but if you’re just looking for a little bit of sugar on a long day of working in the barracks, that might be enough to push you over the edge. You’ll have to go rooting around for an extra ten cents, and who carries dimes around these days? Dollars, sure, but that’s about the minimum unless you know you’ll have to feed quarters into something.

Dimes aren’t the most likely thing to carry around with you. This well-written and forthright note tells us everything we need to know and everything that should be done to fix the situation. This could have been any member of the armed forces, but it certainly seems like the kind of thing that an officer would write.

A Time of Sticking Together

The last couple of years presented lots of opportunities for people to help out their fellow man, and we’re happy to say that at least one person working at Domino’s did their best to uplift. If you’re sick or you’ve had a long day, ordering a little bit of pizza is a nice pick-me-up. If you’re suffering from a bad illness, it can mean a miserable day or a much, much better one.

This person ordered some pies, leaving instructions to put them on the front porch due to a bad illness in the house (you can probably guess which one), and the person delivering the pizzas left a sympathy note. A very nice gesture, even better since the person would have been happy just getting the food he or she ordered.

Telling You a Lot About the Room

Why yes, this is a very strange note to find, but the place it was found makes all the difference. It was found by a woman in a hotel room, inside her robe. Yeah, it's starting to make a little more sense now, isn’t it? If the robe HAD been washed, the note would have been removed or ruined in the wash. But the note was there, meaning that the robe hadn’t been cleaned at all.

The person before the woman who found the note (or maybe multiple people before) did everybody a solid by pointing out just how much this hotel washes things. The answer, just like most hotels, is not enough. Even if it’s something that would be right next to a person’s naked butt, it might not get washed.

Candy Can Stay Over Anytime

Leaving aside the fact that calling a guy Candy must at least have a fun story attached to it, this is a wonderful note to receive. The guy was too drunk to go home, so he slept on the couch. In the morning, he woke up and went on a cleaning spree. He washed the dishes and put them away, cleaned the stove (a messier job than some people think, depending on the kind of stove), and even took out the trash. What a mensch.

Not only those three things, but he also drew a little picture of the people who lived there. It’s a pretty good picture, too. The squirrel is helpfully labeled, even though it looks exactly like a squirrel. All in all, the right kind of party guest.

Love Notes for the Modern Era

Passing love notes? In class? Well, it’s something that’s been done ever since the time of classrooms and notes and the idea of passing things down a line of people. Yet everything must change with the times – for instance, this note isn’t talking about the eyes of a person or their hair or how big their muscles are, but because they hope the other person will smile looking down at his or her phone.

That’s how you know that the people who are involved with this note are a little younger than the average since they had to include the phone thing in there. The smartphone really has changed the whole world. Also, the person who wrote the note misspelled “reason,” so that’s another good indicator.

Succeeding in Only Raising More Suspicion

Yeah, that’s the kind of note that will make sure your garbage can gets investigated. Definitely not your wife, you say? Well, then, I guess you won’t mind if we open it up to make sure. People who live in places that have a lot of hunting will see this a lot, but that just means it’s the perfect way to dispose of someone that you’ve stopped being fond of.

But are garbage collectors really going to open every bag of body parts they find just to make sure they have hooves or antlers or things like that? No, of course not. They’re going to hope that the sign isn’t lying and get on with their day. Even if it is lying, it’s not like it will be hard to find the person responsible. He left a note, for Pete’s sake.

Everything Is Grosser Than You Imagine

Well, that’s okay; we didn’t want to have to eat lunch anyway. And now that we don’t have an appetite left, we don’t have to! Perfect. Yeah, there are a lot of restaurants or other places of business that should probably do a better job of cleaning certain things. Things like Parmesan cheese shakers, which you have to use like a salt shaker.

There was a girl licking one of them, which means all the cheese that comes out has kind of been licked by her. That’s a thrilling thought. It might be best just to take a big bucket of sanitizer and wash everything in the entire vicinity. All the tables and chairs and the floor. Might as well get the walls and ceiling while you’re at it. Who knows where that kid could have been licking?

Bringing the Bike Back

Bikes are a great thing to have while you’re in college. They don’t take up much space, they don’t need to be gassed up like cars, they’re way cheaper, and you can lock them up to keep them from being stolen. Well, normally, anyway. They can be whisked away by a thief who needs a ride of his or her own. Usually, they don’t come back, but in this instance, the right kind of thief was there.

This person blacked out and needed to get home, but he not only decided to bring the bike back to where he had gotten it but also left an apology letter that gave an explanation. We’re guessing this guy didn’t really want to steal a bike, but it was important.

Pretty Good Handwriting for Someone Like That

This person is hungover AND might still be a little drunk, but is able to write a note that not only has better handwriting than we could do on our best day but very few spelling or grammatical errors. How long did this person take? Was it word by word? Did he write a single letter before taking a break? Maybe this letter was written long ago and then was saved until the right time. Or maybe it was used a number of times.

Most people don’t really care that much if the “Pizza Deliverer Person” sees them in a sorry state – it’s not like it will be the first time that they’ve seen someone like that. But this person still had a little bit of self-respect left even after a wild night.

A Critical Part of the Process

Lots and lots of people love Lego, but we guess that not everybody understands the basics of the brand. You have to put them together yourself. That’s how they go. We don’t think there’s a single Lego set in the entire world that comes pre-assembled. You have to put the little pieces together, for Pete’s sake. They might only be two or three pieces, but you have to do it.

This person thought he or she was getting some kind of toy that was built out of little blocks and such, and they wouldn’t have to put it together. That’s the best part about them! We wouldn’t be surprised if more people enjoyed actually building the sets more than playing with them after they were built. Plus, you can build other stuff out of them!

No Choice but to Turn the Volume Down

Night after night after night the same repetitive sounds will make a person go crazy, and that’s not a joke. Living near the wrong people can make your life hell until you find some way to fix it, and for many people, the best way to do that is a note like this one. Actually, this one goes quite a bit harder than a lot of other notes.

It insults the person responsible, it makes fun of their music choices, and it insinuates that they’re breaking the law. Now, these aren’t the kinds of things that you want to do right out of the gate, but you have to admit, this kind of note would likely get you to worry a little more about how the neighbors think of you.
