The Dunkirk Evacuation
The Evacuation of Dunkirk was one of the most challenging moments in Winston Churchill’s political life. After Germany attempted to occupy Dunkirk, Churchill had to decide if to evacuate the city or take the risk of losing tens of thousands of troops. They were not all British troops but of all the neighboring allies, too. In a spare moment, Churchill evacuated more than 300 thousand soldiers and spared the world from what could have been one of the greatest catastrophes of the war.
The Battle of Britain
Before Britain went all in in WWII and invaded Normandy, Winston Churchill delivered a memorable speech to his people. He prepared them for the worst but infused them with patriotism and love for the country. This unforgettable speech, which included the known phrase “Their finest hour,” went down in history books and inspired the movie “Darkest Hour.”

The Atlantic Charter
Winston Churchill was admired by his people and very much appreciated by other world leaders. President Franklin D. Roosevelt saw Churchill as the savior of Europe at the time, and if it hadn’t been for him, he knew where things would have gone. Roosevelt and Churchill formed what was known as the Atlantic Charter. It was a declaration of principles set to apply groundwork for cooperation to be held after the war ended.
The Iron Curtain
After WWII ended, Churchill’s darkest hour was not over yet. He found himself struggling with the condition his country was in after the war, and a new challenge faced him; The Cold War. Churchill delivered another speech, as powerful and influential as the previous ones. He warned the world of the East and West conflict and painted the geopolitical map as he predicted it would be.

The Greatest Leader
If only the world had politicians today like Winston Churchill. If only today politicians would not be afraid to stand for what they believe in and preach for a free and safe world. Churchill was a writer, too, who shared his wisdom and visions with the world. As the years went by, the light shone over Churchill’s darkest hour, and it still shines today.
