Many women carry a difficult pregnancy that can be accompanied by morning sickness, swollen feet, and an overall feeling of discomfort. But not for Grace.
Her pregnancy was easy and full of joy, and she considered them to be the best days of her life. She shone. As soon as the baby was born, things were about to change.
A Night Out
Any mother will understand the importance of having a night out with her family once in a while. Especially if you’re a mom of three children and your life revolves around cooking and cleaning. Jackie had two small kids and a newborn at home, which meant she barely had time to take a shower.
So, when her husband suggested they all go out for dinner, she didn’t think twice and said “Yes.” The family got ready and went to one of their favorite restaurants – a pizza place in Des Moines, Iowa. Everything was going wonderfully until Jackie got up to use the restroom.
Jackie Notices Something Strange
As Jackie came out of the bathroom and walked back towards her table, she noticed a strange exchange of looks between the waitress and her husband and realized a piece of paper had been left on the table. Naturally, Jackie started to get very upset.
When she finally reached the table and realized the waitress had left a handwritten note for her husband, tears began to roll down her cheeks. The note looked very suspicious, and Jackie was doing all she could to get a look at what it said. Nothing could have prepared her for what she was about to read.
Staying Calm
The only thing Jackie could think of was how much she wanted to burst out crying and yell at the waitress, but she knew she had to stay calm. Whatever was going on, making a scene at the restaurant was not going to help matters at all. Besides, her kids were eating happily at the table, and her husband hadn’t realized she had caught the entire thing as she walked from the bathroom.
She had to think about her next move very carefully. They were having a night out as a family, something that hadn’t happened since they had their third child, and she didn’t want to ruin it for no reason. Finally, Jackie decided to grab the note quickly and read it without her husband noticing.
Already Overemotional
There are few things harder in this life than being a parent, and motherhood, as amazing as it is, can leave you feeling emotionally exhausted. Like everything else in the world, being a mother has its good times and bad, and although any mother will tell you all the hard work is worth it, that doesn’t mean it doesn’t feel impossible sometimes.
So, with three kids under her care, Jackie was obviously tired and highly emotional, and noticing that note was just the cherry on top of the cake. The mere thought of her husband having a relationship with the waitress almost broke her entirely.
Not Knowing How to React
Being a mother of three with her husband of several years meant Jackie was no stranger to conflict or drama. She spent her days navigating her kids’ tantrums and messiness, acting as a referee every time they fought. Also, she knew how to discuss things with her husband every time they had a disagreement.
She was also aware of when it was necessary to take a break from a big fight. But what had happened with that waitress was new territory for Jackie. She couldn’t fathom how that waitress approached her husband and left a note for him so shamelessly and out in the open. The disrespect was killing her.

However, the friendly, polite, and elegant exterior didn’t mean she hadn’t experienced hardship; this supermom knew a thing or two about being tough. It turns out that, before becoming a mother, Jackie had been in the army and served for several years.
Even though she’d completed her service and left the army in a past life, the sense of discipline and toughness was very much a part of her. Jackie’s first instinct was to fight when she realized the waitress’s behavior, but she also knew how to keep calm in the face of a conflict, so she kept her cool.
The Tough Reality of Motherhood
Like Jackie, millions of women around the world have to make the difficult decision of dedicating themselves to their careers or becoming a mother. While it is possible to juggle both, it really depends on what kind of career we’re talking about, and being a soldier is one that requires complete devotion. Jackie knew this very well, and she chose motherhood, ultimately becoming a mom to three beautiful kids.
Leaving her army career behind, Jackie became a stay-at-home mom and was as busy as possible. However, the natural insecurities started to creep in anyway. She always tried to look beautiful and stay attractive, but she was constantly insecure that this wasn’t enough. After all, she was aware that her husband was a very handsome man that was always getting attention.
The Perils of a Handsome Husband
It was no secret to Jackie or anybody else that her husband was very attractive. She always noticed how women would stop and look at him, and although she obviously enjoyed having such a good-looking partner, it did spark uncomfortable feelings sometimes. Jackie wasn’t the type to show her insecurities, so she never appeared jealous.
This combined with the fact that she spent most of her time at home with three kids made her feel like she was losing her husband’s undivided attention. But that didn’t mean she was about to stand idly by while a stranger tried to make a move on her husband.
Normal Insecurities
Jackie’s feelings will feel familiar to any mother in any part of the world, as having insecurities about oneself becomes pretty common. Jackie was exhausted and feeling insecure already, and the whole waitress incident at the restaurant was the straw that broke the camel’s back.
They hadn’t talked about it openly, but Jackie felt she and her husband had drifted apart. She adored her kids but also felt that she had lost an important part of herself. She was struggling to keep a balance between her role as an attractive woman and her role as a full-time mother of three.
Wandering Thoughts
True to her tough nature, Jackie never voiced any of her insecurities to her husband, but she definitely thought about them. Often, Jackie would dive into her own thoughts and wonder what her life would look like if her husband fell in love with someone else and left her.
She did her best to push these negative feelings out of her head, but she was finding it increasingly difficult. So, to Jackie, seeing that waitress hand a note to her husband while her kids were sitting at the same table was as close to a nightmare as she could imagine.
From Date Night to Family Dinner
Originally, Jackie and her husband had planned to go out on a date night to a romantic restaurant, just the two of them. But the fact that they had a newborn and two small kids made it hard to find a babysitter, so they ended up having no other choice than to take the kids with them.
The romantic night out turned into a family outing at a pizza place. Of course, they were happy to go out as a family, but seeing the incident with the waitress made Jackie secretly wish that her kids would have stayed at home.
Having a Newborn
Everybody knows that having a newborn is one of the hardest things for a parent. Regardless of whether it’s their first or their third child, taking care of a one-month-old baby is challenging for anybody. Logically, Jackie and her husband would have preferred to get dressed up and be picked up in a fancy car to a night on the town, but with a screaming new baby, that wasn’t exactly possible.
The night already started with trouble because their newborn would not stop crying from the moment they got in the car. Jackie was hoping the baby would fall asleep when they reached the restaurant, and she could sit down, relax and eat properly. However, this was not the case, and she had to start breastfeeding the baby almost as soon as they sat down at the table.
Feeling Judged and Unsupported
To make matters worse, as if a crying baby and not being able to have a meal in peace wasn’t enough, Jackie had to deal with the judging stares of other diners. The second she lifted her shirt to start breastfeeding her child, everybody turned around and started eyeing her.
You would think that people had evolved and finally come to understand that breastfeeding is the most natural act in the world. Unfortunately, this is often not the case, and people love to criticize and comment, seemingly forgetting that a mom needs all the support she can get. The evening had already started out on the wrong foot.
Super Woman
Luckily, not only was Jackie an army veteran that had seen it all, she was a mother, and that made her invincible. Although she noticed the stares, this wasn’t the first or last time she would deal with this, and she knew how to ignore ridiculous judgment from strangers. She continued feeding her baby as if she was alone in the room, impervious to others.
Jackie managed to breastfeed her baby while taking small bites of her pizza with her other hand. She was successfully ignoring the looks of diners, but she couldn’t figure out why the waitress was staring so intensely at her. This was well before the whole note incident.
Dismissing the Gossip
Not only did Jackie have to deal with stares, but the gossiping and whispering among the other diners was incessant. It seems they were all whispering about the “horrible” breastfeeding incident as if she was doing something appalling. Obviously, Jackie wasn’t planning on leaving her newborn hungry because of inconsiderate patrons.
She just went on breastfeeding and managed to drown out the noise. Since becoming a mother, she had become an expert at ignoring noises she didn’t want to hear, so she was already trained for this moment. Still, it was incredibly unnecessary and disrespectful, and things were about to get worse.
The Waitress Would Not Stop Staring
It was one thing to ignore the customer's glares and murmurs, but one of the waitresses at the pizza place would not look away from Jackie. She realized that from the moment she started breastfeeding, the waitress had locked eyes on her without looking away for a single moment. She couldn’t understand what the problem was, after all, she was also a woman.
Had she never witnessed breastfeeding before? Did she not have sympathy for a fellow woman in a complicated situation? Jackie kept getting angrier at the waitress, becoming increasingly confused by her attitude. Finally, her baby had fallen asleep, and she could take a second for herself.
The Mystery Note
After basically breastfeeding for the entire meal and not being able to eat herself, Jackie finally had a moment to breathe. Her husband asked for the check, and she took the opportunity to go to the restroom before leaving. She never expected to see the same waitress that had been staring at her all night handing her husband a note.
It seemed as if the waitress had been waiting for Jackie to leave the table to hand him the mysterious note. What did it say? Did her husband know this woman from before? Jackie felt like her world was crumbling down, and the exhaustion nearly got the better of her.
The Look on Her Husband’s Face
Jackie’s husband seemed confused by the waitress handing him a note, so he started reading it immediately. What he didn’t know was that Jackie had seen the whole thing on her way from the bathroom and was actually looking at him to see his reaction. Suddenly, Jackie noticed her husband’s face change, she couldn’t make out what his reaction was.
Jackie felt like she couldn’t breathe, was this the beginning of the end of her marriage? What could that waitress possibly want with her husband? Did she not notice he was a father of three and married? Jackie was frozen, just staring at her husband to see what he did next.
An Unexpected Reaction
While she stood frozen halfway towards her table, Jackie thought to herself that she would immediately know what was going on once she saw how her husband reacted. She was waiting for him to brush off the note and rip it to pieces, but instead, he took out his phone. Jackie was white as a sheet as she saw her husband dial a number on his phone.
He was dialing the waitress’s number! She felt her world crumbling down. Jackie felt like the man she married became a stranger before her eyes, his kids and newborn were sitting right there, and he was saving another woman’s number? It took all of Jackie’s strength not to burst out crying right there and then.
Right Before Her Eyes
As if it wasn’t bad enough that she had to stand there and watch her marriage fall apart, Jackie suddenly realized that her husband was moving his chair to get up from the table. He started to walk towards the waitress! Was this actually happening?! Jackie was sure she must have been dreaming for a second, she simply couldn’t believe her husband was about to start an affair that very second, in plain sight.
Was her husband done with the marriage? Jackie couldn’t fathom how she didn’t realize her relationship was failing so miserably. She couldn’t help but think that the happiness she had felt from getting a night out with her family had just turned into despair, perhaps this being the last time they all ate together as a family.
The Anger Starts to Rise
After the initial feeling of absolute shock, Jackie felt immense sadness as she tried to understand the situation. But then, anger immediately started to set in. How was this happening? Firstly, how did that waitress dare approach a married family man with three kids?
Then the thought of her husband, a man she’d been married to for years and had three kids with, so blatantly adding her number to his phone and then walking towards her was simply too much. Jackie couldn’t take such a slap in the face; she had just been away from the table for a few short minutes! She felt the ire rise up even more.
Jackie Couldn’t Take It Anymore
Finally, the rage got the best of her, and Jackie couldn’t stand there any longer just watching it all happen. Did her husband and that waitress really think they could do this in front of her kids and she was never going to find out? She ran towards the table and ripped the note right from her husband’s hands.
She pulled it so harshly that the paper tore in half. When Jackie finally set eyes on the piece of paper, she was dumbfounded. Was she hallucinating the words she was reading? Nothing made sense to her. Where was the phone number she was sure the waitress had given her husband?
Something Didn’t Make Sense
As Jackie’s eyes examined the note from front to back, she realized that not only was there no phone number written on it, but the note was actually the bill for their meal. And for some reason, the total had a significant discount. But still, Jackie couldn’t understand what this meant – why would a strange waitress give them a discount?
Was she already having an affair with her husband? Had her husband secretly been eating at that pizza place for years? Something was off, and Jackie couldn’t make sense of it until she finally spotted something when she took a closer look at the bill.
A Small Note
As Jackie took a closer look at the paper, she finally noticed there was a handwritten note in tiny writing at the very bottom of the bill. She brought the paper closer to her eyes so she could read it, and the first word she made out was “breastfeeding.”
What was this waitress’s problem? Was she actually confronting Jackie for breastfeeding at the restaurant? This was unacceptable; Jackie had dealt with stares and whispers before, but no one had ever had the gall to say something to her. That was it, the waitress was about to get a piece of Jackie’s mind.
Jackie Started Crying
Right as she was about to head over to the waitress in a huff, Jackie finally took a moment to read the entire note. She started to cry. She couldn’t believe what she was reading, she got more and more emotional until she finally burst out into full tears and a huge smile.
As we’ve said before, Jackie was a powerful woman and not one to show her emotions in public. So, whatever was on that note must have been some strong words to make her cry in front of the entire restaurant. The exhaustion and emotion got the best of her, and she just let everything go.
The Note
After reading every word of the note several times, Jackie kept holding the piece of paper in utter disbelief. She began to understand what the note meant and the waitress’s intentions by writing it. Jackie just sat in her chair, crying profusely, with her husband and kids looking at her in awe.
The note hit a sensitive spot in Jackie, and too many emotions took hold of her at once. Never in her wildest dreams did she expect her family outing at a pizza restaurant to end like this. She held the note in her hands and began to get the biggest smile on her face.
Going Viral
Something that started out so oddly ended up becoming a viral sensation. Those few sentences had made their way across the internet since they had shaken Jackie so much that she shared them with the entire world. She had to post it on her social media accounts and show the world, specifically other women and mothers, that there were people out there who supported them and had their backs.
The topic of breastfeeding still caused a lot of controversy, and she wanted to address it with people around the world and bring more awareness. Jackie was shocked after she began to see people’s reactions to the note. The comments were unbelievable.
Jackie’s Post
Under a screenshot of the note, Jackie wrote, “I have breastfed three children. Discreetly and out in the open, I have breastfed them in countless places, both pleasant and unpleasant. I have gotten many looks and stares, but tonight erases any negativity I have ever received.” And she hit “post” on her social media.
The note had nothing to do with her husband. In fact, it was completely addressed to her and spoke about her decision to breastfeed in public and how admirable it was. The waitress was in awe of her and wanted to give her a message to let her know that even though everyone at the restaurant might have been judging her, she noticed Jackie and saw what a supermom she was.
The Waitress Was Mad at People’s Attitude
It wasn’t the first time that this waitress had seen a mother breastfeeding at the restaurant or in other public places and seen how other people reacted. She thought it was ridiculous and unfair for anyone to react that way towards a mother feeding her child, and she understood how hard it could be for women to be judged by complete strangers for doing something so natural.
The waitress, Bodi, wanted to show Jackie that she wasn’t alone and that at least one other woman in that room supported her. Bodi was fed up with seeing mothers have to deal with uncomfortable looks and comments, so this time, she decided to do something about it.
What Bodi’s Note Said
Jackie was beyond relieved that the note wasn’t a love declaration towards her husband or a phone number with the expectation of an affair. It also wasn’t a confrontation or judgment about her breastfeeding her newborn in a public place. On the contrary, it was a kind message written with the sole purpose of encouraging Jackie and lifting her spirits.
When Bodi printed out the family’s bill, she grabbed a pen and wrote, “I bought one of your pizzas… Please thank your wife for breastfeeding!”. Bodi wasn’t a mother, but she’d been around enough of them to know that breastfeeding was the most natural thing in the world, and it made her angry when other people judged her.
Sharing It With the World
Jackie felt so moved by Bodi’s note that she immediately wanted to share it with the world, especially so other mothers could know they had a support network. After all, it’s not common for a mom to get a note like that, with kindness and understanding, for public breastfeeding.
In her social media post, she went on to write, “I ate at Fong’s for the first time tonight. Having a fussy baby, I nursed him for a while in the booth and eventually left the table early as not to disrupt the restaurant. The waitress gave this receipt to my husband. I was speechless and emotional.”
Imagining the Worst
No words could have described what Jackie was feeling when she came out of that bathroom and saw the waitress hand a note to her husband. She felt a range of emotions when she saw her husband take out his phone and take a photo of the note.
She was sure this was the beginning of the end, and her marriage was on the verge of being destroyed. Fortunately, none of this was true, and the situation was instead a show of kindness towards Jackie that she never expected. She was over the moon with joy when she realized what was actually going on.

The moment the waitress handed him the bill and he realized she had written something on it, Jackie’s husband was also confused. But after reading the kind words, her humanity also profoundly touched him. He immediately thought to take a picture with his phone so he could share it with his friends and family.
The comments and reactions to Jackie’s post, which included her husband’s photo of the note, were overwhelmingly positive and kind. Everybody was excited and moved to see such support among women and mothers. Additionally, it seemed people were aware of the stigma attached to breastfeeding and were equally motivated to normalize it.

This note may have been no more than a collection of three or four sentences, but it had a significant impact on Jackie and her family and their community. Without knowing it, Jackie started a discussion about breastfeeding and the importance of normalizing it in public spaces. The fact that Bodi, who wrote the note, wasn’t a mother herself made the discussion go beyond motherhood, it made it about the importance of women supporting each other. Many women who weren’t mothers themselves supported Bodi’s opinions about breastfeeding. Jackie was overwhelmed.
Jackie Didn’t Feel Alone Anymore

As one does after posting about a controversial topic online, Jackie was getting ready to fend off negative comments and criticisms. She was expecting people to get uncomfortable with the subject and was even preparing to have a nasty discussion on her social media.
To her surprise, this couldn’t have been farther from reality. The moment she posted Bodi’s note, she realized the number of women who felt the same and were equally tired of dealing with bad looks and comments. Jackie inadvertently created a much-needed online community centered on public breastfeeding and motherhood in general.
The Reason Behind the Stares
Jackie remembered how uncomfortable she felt when she realized Bodi was staring at her so intensely back at the restaurant. She remembered how she felt so judged and couldn’t help but think that she was just being mean. But as Bodi later explained, she stared because she found it hard to look away from such a brave mom.
To her, the fact that Jackie had breastfed her newborn in public was a sign of courage and strength. “I tried not to stare because I didn’t want to seem creepy or make her feel uncomfortable, but I felt like doing jumping jacks!” said Bodi in a later interview.
Women Supporting Each Other
In any situation, it is always strange and unexpected when a stranger has a kind gesture toward us. People usually have their guard up and are unfortunately imagining the worst, but sometimes, things end up being quite different, and we’re very nicely surprised.
Especially when it comes to women, competition can become a real problem, so it’s of utmost importance for women to always support each other. Instead of judging, we should all react like Bodi did that night at the restaurant. Show people they’re not alone and give them encouragement when they’re feeling at their worst. Especially when it comes to mothers.
A Turning Point
That note signaled an important moment for Jackie, and she made sure Bodi knew it. She returned to the pizza restaurant the very next day to speak to Bodi in person and thank her for what she did. Jackie further explained that “although I don’t need a pat on the back for feeding my child, it sure felt amazing. It is amazing how we women can make each other feel when we empower each other.”
Small gestures can go a very long way, and sometimes a four-sentence note is all you need to keep going. Jackie felt she needed to pay the kindness forward, so she took to social media to let other mothers know they weren’t alone either.
One Happy Family
Apart from getting reassured as a mother, Jackie got her confidence back as a wife. She realized she had nothing to worry about when it came to her husband and their unwavering relationship. They had a beautiful family, and that note just helped their union get stronger.
Once that note reminded Jackie that motherhood wasn’t about being perfect but about trying your best, she stopped self-criticizing so much and regained her sense of confidence. Besides, she became a part of an ever-growing online community which now added a new dimension to being a stay-at-home mom. That waitress surely had no idea what her act of kindness would bring about.
An Important Lesson

Everything was a struggle. She found it almost impossible to get back to her normal self and the baby blues she suffered from, took over her life.
She couldn't look at herself in the mirror. Instead of wanting to be close to her baby, all she wanted was to be alone, and worst of all, she felt her husband didn't desire her anymore.
It Wouldn't Go Away
Baby blues can creep up on any woman unexpectedly. It happens when the hormone levels are uneven, combined with the physical changes the body goes through.
Grace didn't know how long this was going to go on and never thought she had to seek medical advice. She just hoped it would disappear.
Back to Life
By the time her baby was eight months old, Grace wanted to go back to work. She felt that being occupied and getting involved with other interests besides her baby would help her get better.
John was busy with his occupation and personal stuff. Grace wanted her own life back too. Little did she know that things were not going to get better, in fact, they were about to get a lot worse.
The New Babysitter
Then Anna came into her life. Anna was the new babysitter Grace hired, so she could get back to work. She was young, talented, educated, and beautiful. Grace felt she won the jackpot.
Anna seemed to be the perfect companion for her baby and for the family, however, Grace was in for a surprise. Anna was a little more than just a babysitter. Grace began observing and analyzing the babysitter's behaviors that bothered her.
First Suspicion
At first, Grace thought she was imagining things. She kept telling herself that she has been under a lot of pressure and that her mind is sometimes stronger than reality. As the days went by, her suspicions of Anna flirting with John were too much to ignore.
Not only was Anna flirting with her husband, but she also caught them once whispering to each other in the hallway. Was Grace imagining things, or was something going on?
A New Path in Life?
If Grace's self-esteem and confidence weren't shoved down to the floor, then the new Anna incident made sure they would. Grace gave birth not so long ago and perhaps John was looking for new and exciting things in life.
On any other day, Grace would have thrown her suspicions out of the window, however, this was happening in her own house and there was a limit to what she was willing to tolerate.
Things Were Changing
Grace began wondering if maybe it was time for new things in life. For one thing, she wasn't the same Grace John married a few years back.
Her dimensions were not the same, her energy was stuck in low key for a while and the smile on her face that used to brighten up any rainy day had disappeared.
Taking Time
Approaching John and confronting him was out of the question. He would probably manage to turn the whole story upside down making Grace feel bad for not trusting him.
She decided to give it some time. Maybe it was all in her head? In the worst case, she will realize nothing was going on, and no one gets hurt. Life, however, had other plans.
Say Cheese
What could be more reliable than a camera? Grace wasted no time and bought two cameras to install in the house. One in the living room and one outside, by the entrance door.
With these cameras, she would be able to see for herself what her husband was up to. She had reached salvation. The cameras were the best way to solve this babysitter/husband mystery.
She Was Determined
As time passed, Grace became more and more suspicious that something was going on between John and Anna. She was uneased and the hope of things brightening up was becoming blurry.
She was certain that what she thought was going on, was indeed taking place. No one could tell her otherwise.
It Was Money Time
One week later, Grace was ready to look the devil in the eye. It was time to sit back and see what the cameras had to reveal. Deep within herself, she was hoping to be wrong.
Feeling nauseous, Grace played the camera's footage and paused each time it featured John and Anna together. Whenever she saw them alone, she paid careful attention, ready to confront her findings.
It Was Getting Too Close
Anna, being Anna, showed affection towards John which was revealed very clearly in the camera's films. What concerned Grace the most, was John's reaction to Anna's behavior and body language. She couldn't get her eyes off the screens.
Suddenly there was a knock on the door which ended her daily drama session, and she had to turn the documentary off.
An Unexpected Suprise
Just like in any good thriller, Anna was the one on the other side of the door. Anna put on her charming and irresistible smile and said that she has come to pick up her paycheck. She added that she was expecting to see John.
Oh was she, Grace thought to herself. She painted a fake smile on her face and before she managed to respond, John walked in.
Taking Things Outside
John insisted on paying Anna, not allowing Grace to reach for her purse. Not only that, he insisted on doing so outside and not in front of Grace. He walked Anna to her car.
John foolishly thought Grace went back into the house, however, she was there all along watching the cameras. She couldn't get her eyes off the two knowing that all of her suspicions were about to become her new reality.
Beyond the Eye Contact
John had always been an attractive man. Women have forever checked him out, but there was something more than that when it came to Anna. She wasn't just flirting with him. The two of them were communicating.
Grace knew she had to stay on high alert as without notice, she could turn around and her marriage would fall apart and be over.
Little Black Dress
Still watching the cameras, Anna's clothing drew Grace's attention. Maybe if some other less attractive girl would have worn the same little black outfit she wouldn't have been so concerned, but on Anna, it looked seductive.
Grace tried to push her thoughts aside and not pay attention to things that weren't really happening, however, the next thing that occurred couldn't leave her oblivious to the situation.
Physical Attraction
Anna placed her hand on John's arm. Grace could almost feel the warmth emitting from her hand. It was there and then that Grace knew for certain that something was going on. There was no need for storytelling. It was presented in front of her eyes.
John and Anna were romanticly involved, living a completely separate life in a parallel world and not making an effort in hiding it. Grace was devastated, however, she didn't want to allow her grief to take over.
Blindfolded
Grace sat in front of the screen struggling to keep her tears away, and watched Anna and John walk towards the hallway. Anna approached closer to John and said something that Grace could only wish to hear.
What happened next, not only escalated Grace's sickening feelings but also revealed John in a light that was way out of character. This was not the man she married. Grace felt that her heart was about to stop.
No Words Needed
Anna and John looked closer than ever. John had his back to the camera so grace couldn't read his lips to try and figure out what he was saying. Understanding Anna was no issue as she said so much with so few words just by gesturing her little outfit at John.
Grace felt that the world froze. She couldn't stop staring at the screen and looking at her husband and the babysitter. She was watching her world being torn apart with her own two eyes.
The Moment of Truth
Grace continued to watch the footage and as John escorted Anna away from the house's entrance, Grace switched on to watch what the outdoor camera had to reveal. She felt the moment of truth was approaching and reality was about to explode.
Grace carefully watched John and Anna, however, what she was about to see was very different than what she was expecting. It looked as if John and Anna were having an argument. Was John breaking up with Anna?
Put Thing to an End
John rushed back into the house and left Anna crying outside all alone. Grace couldn't help herself and she ran out to her husband. "I fired her," John said. " I don't like the way she is treating me", he added.
Grace couldn't believe what she was hearing. He doesn't approve of how she is treating him? She asked herself. What was he expecting? Grace was confused and wanted to get to the bottom of this. If John and Anna are not having an affair, then what was going on?
More Than Ever
John turned out to be a more loving husband than Grace could ever wish for. He explained to her that he didn't approve of Anna flirting with him. That it was disrespectful towards her (Grace) and towards their baby.
Apparently, he had asked Anna on more than one occasion to stop behaving the way she does, but she never took his words seriously. Anna made John feel uncomfortable in his own house and he didn't like it.
Coming Clean
Grace felt she had to come clean and shared with John what she had been going through. She told him about her suspicions, and about the cameras. She broke down and cried.
She felt guilty for not trusting her husband and for spying on him. She went on and said that ever since the baby was born, she was simply not herself. She thought he wasn't interested anymore and that their marriage was over.
Confession
John was shocked. He had no idea what Grace was going through. This was all new to him. If only she would have shared with him how she felt. He was devastated as much as Grace was.
They openly spoke about all that had happened, understanding that if they would have communicated with one another, all of this could have been avoided.
The Days After
After everyone came clean, Anna obviously lost her job. There was no room for people like her in the Richards home and no room for babysitters of that sort in Grace and John's lives.
But whatever happened to Grace? Did she ever recover from the condition she's been dragging since she gave birth? Did she ever come to terms with not being able to fight her battle on her own?

Grace's depression and posttrauma lingered on for a long time. After the John and Anna story, Grace knew she needed professional help and things weren't just going to disappear.

Good Question
In our humble opinion, getting your daily eight hours of sleep is one of life's small luxuries, and having kids doesn't necessarily mean you have to exchange said luxury for sleepless nights. But you will need to accept that the paradigm has shifted and while you can still sleep, it's just going to be different.
Having kids means your sleep schedule will not fit neatly into an eight-hour window anymore, instead you can expect it to be spread over many hours with frequent interruptions.

If we've learned anything from kids, it's that peace and tranquility can easily be derailed. Apparently, her brother decided it would be fun to see how they would look in her hair. The result is a complete mess and it took their mother 20 hours to get them all out! If that was our kid, we'd probably have it all shaved off by now.

This dad couldn't explain all the side-eyes and smirking glances he received from the other parents in his kid's class, but after a tour of his son's class, it all made sense. He found this photo on the wall of his classroom for photos of the year.
It sure is a sweet photo with a dad and his son while holding a mug that says "Best Farter Ever." It would be a shame if it was made public for others to see though, which is exactly what happened in this case.
Working From Home
If you're not used to working from home, you might have a bit of trouble adjusting to your new office, which is totally understandable. But throw your kids in the mix and distractions are bound to happen.

Imagine waking up to this — either you'd be terrified or proud or a mixture of both. While we may think this is hilarious, few things are more maddening than being woken up by a painted pumpkin head, especially around six in the morning.

No matter how close the TV brings you to the action on the field, there're some things the cameras and mics can't quite capture, like the deafening scorch of fireworks, that feeling you might die at any moment.
This can only come from the palpable excitement of having kids. Sometimes you just have to be there in person.
Suspect Evidence
This plastic shovel, which obviously comes from a kids play set, was found in the laundry machine after a wash. Nobody knows how it got there, but we're sure kids had something to do with it.
If you have kids you might know what it's like when you find a towel stuffed down a toilet or lego pieces in the air conditioner vent.
Da Vinci
Surfaces can be rather limited when you like painting, so what do you do when you run out of canvases? Do as Da Vinci did and use the wall of course!
Because artists can be notoriously picky about the tools they use in their craft, these parents should feel honored that their little painter used their wall.
Snacks
That moment when kids learn there are more than one snack flavor is the moment you realise you've made a huge mistake.
These days you only really ever encounter these varieties in a gas station, which is why it took two whole hours to choose!

Maybe buying tattoo markers were not the best idea when it came to buying a Christmas present for their daughter.
Sure, they’re explicitly designed to stay on for as long as two weeks, but they never expected her to go this crazy all at once.

Rules Are Lame
While we would never promote eating while watching TV, there's a good reason they let you buy snacks at the movie theater, it's just so comforting to nibble on something while you're watching a film on the big screen.
This is probably why his mom had to enforce strict rules about eating in the living room, but kids are more clever than we give them credit for...
