American musical theater vet Kristin Chenoweth carries some insecurities despite all her years of acting experience and the incredible awards she’s won. For her, those insecurities center specifically around the abdomen area.
According to the Tony-winning actress-singer, she’s always had a slight belly-bulge, even when she is at her thinnest. But don’t worry: Chenoweth has come to terms with her imperfect stomach throughout the years, and today she’s totally fine with it.
Chris Rock
Chris Rock has been pretty open about his childhood insecurities, which were pretty much what his series, "Everybody Hates Chris", is based on. Rock said that he's been made fun of and picked on as a kid, both for his skinny appearance and for being the only black kid in his school.
But Rock used his childhood scars to drive him into being one of the most popular comedians in the whole world, which is no short of amazing.
Kevin Hart
Kevin Hart may be hilarious and super successful, but he's always had issues when it comes to his height, and he's pretty open about that. The comedian actually jokes about this subject quite often in his stand-up shows.
However, it seems that Hart doesn't let that issues hurt his self-esteem, and is otherwise extremely confident about himself, which we think is great.
Venessa Hudgens
Actress Venessa Hudgens is undoubtedly an attractive woman, but that doesn't mean she was never insecure about her body. According to Hudgens, growing up as a dancer made her all too judgmental about the structure of her legs, which she used to compare to tree trunks for their muscularity.
Today, Hudgens knows that being super-toned thanks to dancing is not a curse, but more like a blessing.
Janet Jackson
According to Janet Jackson, back in her 30s, they were pretty much zero things she loved about herself, which is pretty darn sad. When a friend asked her for just one thing she liked about herself, nothing came to mind, and she was filled with tears.
But the singer never gave up trying, and even though she may not love herself 100% today, she no longer starts to cry when she looks in the mirror; and even has some physical traits that she likes about herself. We think that's progress.
America Ferrera
Actress and producer America Ferrera has shared in an interview that she's not all that self-confident when it comes to her looks. Not fitting perfectly into the Hollywood-actress-archetype has often made her question her looks, looking at other actresses and feeling as if she wasn't thin or beautiful enough.
Ferrera said that she worked hard in order to get over those insecurities and started focusing on what she has to give to the world rather than the external package her gifts come in.
Tina Fey
Actress and comedian Tina Fey may have never become who she is today without her childhood insecurities. Fey says that she didn't have the best statistics growing up, which wasn't all that great for her self-esteem.
But at some point, she learned that there's another way to attract people other than looking perfect: make them laugh! And the rest is history.
Mary J. Blige
Mary J. Blige used to be insecure about her looks and wanted to look more like the average beauty standard and less like herself. But the singer shared that at one point, she realized the most important person to please was herself; which really turned things around for her.
Her current objective is just to be the best version of herself possible, rather than adhering to some unrealistic beauty standard. We think that's the way to go, too.
Melissa McCarthy
Melissa McCarthy said she used to be incredibly insecure about her looks when she was younger, wishing she could have a slimmer body or a prettier face and pretty much cried about it throughout her entire 20s.
Today, the actress says she loves herself just the way she is. Yes, she still feels insecure sometimes; but all in all, she wouldn't want to change anything about the way she looks. We wouldn't want her to, either.
Lena Dunham
Lena Dunham really brought body type diversity to the forefront in some of her scenes in "Girls", but that doesn't mean that she was never insecure about her body in her personal life.
According to the writer-actress, when she first started, she didn't think anyone would want to hire her because she was too fat, and used to compare herself to women who were thinner than she was. Thankfully, today Dunham feels much better about herself and actually likes what nature gave her.
Serena Williams
World-renowned tennis player Serena Williams has experienced some insecurity about her body. As a tennis player, one is normally expected to have an athletic physique, but Williams has always been feminine and curvy, which she wasn't too pleased about early on.
However, Serena says that at some point people actually started complimenting her for not having that classic-tennis-player body! That's when she learned to embrace and love it for what it is.
Madonna
Even Madonna was at one point insecure. The diva said boys would make fun of her back at school, teasing her for being hairy and calling her a monster, no less. But instead of trying to change her appearance to fit into social norms, Madonna did the exact opposite: she didn't shave, wear makeup, or do her hair.
The singer says men were definitely not attracted to her as a result, more like scared of her; but the important thing is, she was true to herself. We're pretty sure a few men were attracted to her since, though.
Mindy Kaling
Mindy Kaling is one of a few celebrities that actually embody body positivity, both in the way she looks and in how she address body-image issues. Kaling has confessed to having been insecure about her weight and appearance when she was younger, which couldn't have been easy.
Today, however, she feels confident in herself and no longer pays attention to people's mean comments about the way she looks. We think it's awesome.
Kate Winslet
Is Kate Winslet a goddess, or what? But real-life goddesses have their insecurities, too. Winslet has opened up about having some issues with her body, saying that she didn't grow up in a body-positive atmosphere, which is truly too bad.
But Kate, being the amazing woman that she is (did we say goddess already?), isn't the type of person to let that bring her down. Her own insecurities about her body only made her a wonderful, body-positive mom to her daughter. What a great way to handle things!
Lili Reinhart
"Riverdale" star Lili Reinhart has confessed to some severe body image issues. The actress opened up on Twitter about how intimidating it can be for her to be constantly surrounded by a cast of such good-looking people, and how insecure that can make her feel about her own body.
According to Reinhart, people's unrealistic expectations regarding the looks of female TV stars don't help, either. However, Lili is at peace with her body and embraces its imperfections, even though she still faces insecurity about it every now and then.
Bella Hadid
It's unbelievable (and rather depressing) to learn how insecure some people are about their looks when they are so clearly beautiful. That's the case with Bella Hadid, who testifies to have had numerous beauty insecurities as a teenager.
From her brows being too thin to her chubby period at early puberty, Bella didn't lack things to feel insecure about. Thankfully, as a grownup, she's much more confident about her looks.
Jennifer Lawrence
People have some crazy-weird insecurities, but Jennifer Lawrence truly beats us all in the Strange Insecurity Olympics. Are you ready for what this beautiful Hollywood actress dislikes about herself? Well, it's her armpits! Her armpit fat, to be exact.
Honestly, we have zero clue what this means, but we'll let her have it. Yes, Jennifer, you have armpit fat – whatever you say. Talk about nitpicking.
Karlie Kloss
Fashion model Karlie Kloss turns out to carry some insecurities from her past when it comes to body image. According to Kloss, being incredibly tall has made her very insecure over her school years. Her case teaches us an important lesson, though: one's biggest insecurity, or what they consider to be their flaw, might actually turn into their biggest advantage later on.
Karlie's height, while being a source of insecurity when she was younger, was a big part of what allowed her to become such a notable model.
Bradley Cooper
In a reasonable world, a smoking hot man like Bradley Cooper should have zero issues with his appearance. But this world is not perfect (even if Cooper himself is), and looks-related insecurities were not spared of the actor.
According to him, people used to mistake him for a girl when he was younger, which seems to have scarred him quite a bit. Shockingly, Cooper says he never thought of himself as being that good-looking.
Scarlett Johansson
We can believe many celebrities for being insecure about their looks, but Scar Jo? Who would have thought? The sex-symbol-slash-actress (we're not sure which of those titles represents her more accurately) dared to refer to her body as 'okay,' which nearly knocked us unconscious.
Johansson said she wasn't happy with her mid-section and thighs. Does anyone know what the hell she's talking about?
Alexander Skarsgård
You would expect someone as handsome as actor Alexander Skarsgård to feel awesome about the way they look, but the reality is often rather different. Skarsgård has opened up about the subject, sharing that he's occasionally insecure about his looks just like other people.
According to the "True Blood" actor, he has bad days where he feels super ugly! We're not sure how that's possible, but we'll just have to take his word for it.
Anne Hathaway
Just like her memorable character in her breakthrough film, "The Devil Wears Prada", Anne Hathaway also struggles with the pressure to be a perfect size 6. The actress shared her anxiety over being thin enough, but also occasionally about being too thin, and generally about having a perfectly-shaped body.
Sadly, the actress has actually referred to her body as a source of shame in her life. Anne, we don't think you have anything to be ashamed of – on the contrary!
Khloé Kardashian
Khloé Kardashian is not the only Kardashian on this list. Just like her sisters, Khloé speaks openly about her insecurities, which is greatly appreciated. According to her, one of them was the result of cosmetic procedures gone bad: after getting some work done on her lips, Khloé said she thought it made her look crazy.
She went to try and reverse the process about three times, but she says she still sees the effects of past injections on her lips.
Sarah Jessica Parker
Legendary "Sex and the City" star Sarah Jessica Parker has an entire host of insecurities, and those go a lot deeper than just her body or looks (when it comes to those, she simply copes by wearing age-appropriate outfits).
Parker revealed that her fears revolve more about the health of her husband and children, professional opportunities that may or may not present themselves, and how creatively satisfied and good at her job she is. We appreciate how deep you are, Jessica.
Kate Hudson
Everyone gets jealous of supermodels every now and then, even Kate Hudson. The stunningly beautiful actress opened up about feeling insecure about her looks and said she can look at a photo of Gisele and wish she had her long legs or luscious lips.
But Hudson makes sure to keep her wishes at bay and reassures us, saying that you have to honor who you are – and that includes the way you look.
Kristen Stewart
Actress Kristen Stewart's main insecurity has to do with a specific body part: her ears. If that's the case, we think the "Twilight" actress could have done worse, since ears are probably the easiest things to hide if you just grow your hair long.
Other than having some ear issues, Stewart said she's not a big fan of her physique, either; saying she doesn't like being lanky. We'd still trade places with her, though.
Megan Fox
Megan Fox is arguably one of the most beautiful women in the world, but shockingly, even she has struggled with physical insecurities (and pretty severe ones).
According to Fox, she is incredibly insecure about her looks, to the extent of self-loathing. As unfortunate as that is to hear, it's encouraging to learn from her that there's an aspect of herself she's really confident about: her personality.
Oprah Winfrey
To many, Oprah might look like the most confident woman in the world. But the first lady of American talk shows has her own insecurities, too. Oprah confessed to being incredibly insecure about her acting capabilities.
Considering the very few movies that she's starred in – as acting was never her main profession – we think it's pretty darn impressive that she was nominated for an Academy Award for her first-ever film role in "The Color Purple".
Cheryl Cole
Singer Cheryl Cole feels insecure about her legs and doesn't like them, especially the fact that they're not long enough in her opinion. However, Cole has got quite an original take on the matter: if it makes other people happy to see pictures of her leg-cellulite in a magazine, she's all for that.
In fact, she confesses to doing the same thing herself with other celebrities, which makes her feel better about herself. We're all human, after all.
Blake Lively
After her pregnancy, Blake Lively wasn't happy about her post-delivery body and experienced some insecurity about it. But Lively said she honestly believed women shouldn't feel that way about themselves after having a baby.
Blake said that she wished she was brave enough to show off her imperfect body after giving birth in order to represent real women and the way they actually looked like.
Jessica Alba
Jessica Alba? A sex symbol? She doesn't seem to think so. We're suspecting the actress doesn't have any mirrors at home, since she was quoted saying that every other actress is prettier than she is; and that her body isn't really all that, either.
On the upside, Alba said she wasn't only okay with her cellulite and big hips – she actually loves them. Who are we to get in the way of that?
Chris Pratt
It is no secret that Chris Pratt has had his issues with food throughout the years, going from fit to overweight and back. We don't see this so often in Hollywood, where people tend to be on a strict diet and fitness regime; but people outside of Hollywood know this phenomenon well.
Chris has opened up about his struggles with emotional eating, saying that he may not know what women in the industry go through when it comes to body image; but he has definitely had his own struggles with it, and knows how hard it can be.
Hilary Duff
The world really needs more celebrities like Hilary Duff, who is telling it like it is when it comes to women's post-pregnancy bodies. Duff talked about the incredible pressure put on women, and famous women, in particular, to be and look perfect all the time, saying that she's not buying it.
Supermodels posting pics of a perfectly toned body on Instagram right after having a baby? Duff is doubtful and openly confesses that she didn't get her perfect body back too quickly after giving birth.
Amy Adams
Sometimes, starring in successful films doesn't make one feel like a better actor or actress; ironically enough, it might actually make them feel incompetent. That's exactly what happened to Amy Adams after participating in "Catch Me if You Can".
Adamas said that she was always insecure, but after the movie, her insecurity about her acting reached a whole new level. She felt like she wasn't enough, and like she couldn't be the actress people expected her to be. Comparing herself to stars like Sean Penn and Meryl Streep who were sitting next to her at the Oscars freaked her out.
Jordin Sparks
We think Jordin Sparks is perfect just the way she is (cue in Bronu Mars), but it seems that she still has a way to go before she can agree on that. The American Idol winner and successful R&B singer says she's still coping with insecurities about her body but is learning to love it more and more as the years go by.
According to Sparks, her trick is to choose outfits that stress her curves and her waist, which are the parts she loves most about her body. Go Jordin!
Lady Gaga
One celebrity whose presence on this list is not a surprise is singer Lady Gaga. Not because she has anything to be insecure about – but just because she's been so open about her imperfections and sense of otherness throughout her career.
Gaga said that her classmates used to tease her for wanting to be like Boy George when she was in high school, sharing that it made her feel like a freak. But Gaga's somewhat tormented background is exactly what makes her such a great artist and person, wanting to allow her fans to be exactly who they are.
Katy Perry
Like many of the stars on this list, Katy Perry carries around some insecurities about her body that, as it seems, tend to come with fame. When you spend most of your time in the spotlight and are being photographed constantly, it's pretty hard to dodge those types of issues.
But Perry owns her body, saying that she's aware of her curviness; and tries her best to embrace it and be a role model for others. The pop singer says staying relatable keeps her sane as a celebrity, and we're all for that.
Chris Evans
We really want to believe Chris Evans for being insecure about his level of attractiveness, but it's just so hard to do! According to the drop-dead-gorgeous actor, he battles insecurities on a regular basis, like many other actors (and, well, people, for that matter).
Evans says that he finds it hard to feel like an attractive man standing next to his two Avengers co-stars, Chris Hemsworth and Robert Downey Jr. Well, we get it; but still.
Kate Beckinsale
Kate Beckinsale confessed that regardless of the way she looks today, something about the way she felt about herself in school tends to stick. When she was asked in an interview about her relationship with her appearance, her answer made it pretty clear that she was far from being prom queen; and closer to being an awkward high schooler with acne and unattractive bangs.
Needless to say, no one would have guessed it in a million years. Generally speaking, it seems that Kate prefers to be complimented on being intelligent or a good friend than getting yet another compliment about her looks.
Gigi Hadid
There are quite a lot of models on this list, and one of them is Gigi Hadid. But Hadid is not insecure about any particular body part or obsessed with her weight (thank goodness!) – her insecurity stems from something else: her walk.
Most people probably couldn't care less about the way they walk, but for models marching on runaways around the world, it's pretty important. Gigi says that her way of coping with this unique insecurity and making sure people wanted to hire her services, was being as hardworking, kind, and professional as she can be.
Sofia Vergara
Sofia Vergara is almost literally sizzling hot – honestly, have you seen the woman? – but like the rest of us commonfolk, she, too, is insecure about various aspects of herself. Vergara places the blame for many of those insecurities on social media and the unrealistic standards it sets for us, and she's probably right to do so.
Whether it's questioning our diet, our exercise routine (or lack thereof), or our looks – we agree with her that it's next to impossible to scroll through one's feed without feeling self-doubt creeping in.
Anna Kendrick
Anna Kendrick is by far one of the most charming Hollywood personalities out there. Seriously, who wouldn't want to be best friends with that girl? But it seems that Anna herself isn't too sure why anyone would find her likable or attractive.
According to the lovely actress, she tends to get insecure about pretty much everything, and even after all these years of being famous, she's still surprised when people recognize her on the street. Modesty is a virtue, it's true; but Anna, it's OK to own your gifts sometimes, too!
Victoria Beckham
As human beings, we tend to be way too good at pointing out our imperfections. If you ask most people what they dislike about themselves, they'd probably be able to tell you the exact answer right away, and Posh Spice is no different.
When asked, Victoria pointed out her stomach and her backside as the areas of her body she dislikes most, claiming that while she cleans up nicely, the way she looks clothes-free is an entirely different story. We think you're beautiful either way, Victoria.
Benedict Cumberbatch
Here's a man who isn't ashamed of being vulnerable – just the way we like it. Actor Benedict Cumberbatch has opened up about a very unique (and strangely specific!) insecurity: according to him, some people (umm, who?) have said that he looks like Sid the sloth from the movie "Ice Age".
We understand that might be insulting; but to be honest, we see zero resemblance! What do you think?
Kim Kardashian
When it comes to someone who always looks so polished like Kim Kardashian, it might come as a shock to learn that she's actually living with a pretty unpleasant skin condition that can cause a lot of insecurity. The famous reality star has revealed that she has psoriasis, and even posted a picture of her psoriasis-ridden face online, which was a pretty bold move.
Kim shared that she's learned to make peace with her psoriasis over time and even used it to advertise her body makeup, saying that she puts it on whenever she feels like covering it up.
Michelle Williams
Despite her rich acting experience, actress Michelle Williams feels extremely insecure about her acting. Williams opened up about her fears, saying that she is constantly scared to get fired, feeling as if she doesn’t really know what she's doing and soon everyone will find out that she's bad at her job.
However, what helps her feel better about her insecurities is knowing that almost every other actor and actress feel pretty much the same. There's definitely a comfort in knowing that you're not the only one.
Tyra Banks
Even the legendary Tyra Banks gets insecure occasionally. And when she does, it's about two entirely unrelated things! According to Banks, she tends to get jealous of two types of people: girls with no cellulite, and people who can write computer codes.
Who said that all of a person's insecurities should be in line with one another? Anyway, Tyra, you're smart and pretty enough for us.
Jessica Biel
If we were in Jessica Biel's shoes (which are probably fancy designer ones, just saying) we would have looked in the mirror every morning and said thank you. But the star herself doesn't share our sentiments. Apparently, Biel has one major issue with the way she looks — namely her legs.
You know the old saying, a moment on the lips – a lifetime on the hips? Well, according to Biel, that phrase describes her perfectly. She says she wishes her legs were longer to help compensate for that issue. We think being married to Justin Timberlake is compensation enough.
Amy Schumer
Amy Schumer is famous for not only being upfront about her physical imperfections but actually turning them into great comedy (as she did in her film "I Feel Pretty"). The actress-comedian said in an interview that she believes people should own their belly and cellulite without having to apologize for it and remember that it doesn't negate their right to be loved or feel attractive.
Schumer does an amazing job representing a different celebrity model of a woman who doesn't try to be perfect, which really helps promote self-love among other people.
Robert Pattinson
It doesn't always help to be a famous actor and an undoubtedly beautiful man. Sometimes, your insecurities get the best of you, even for someone as successful and talented as Robert Pattinson.
According to the Twilight star, he has numerous insecurities that he is constantly forced to face as part of his profession. If Robert Pattinson has days where he can barely stand himself, anyone can have some.
Angelina Jolie
Sometimes, being cited as one of the most beautiful women in the world by all the biggest magazines is just not enough to make one feel good about themselves. At least, that's the case with Angelina Jolie. The award-winning actress, who is famous for her looks just as she is for her acting talent, still somehow manages to think she looks strange.
Jolie was quoted saying she thought she looked like a muppet, but we find it pretty hard to believe that anyone else but her sees the resemblance.
Jon Hamm
If you had to guess, would you really think super-handsome-mouth-watering Jon Hamm would be a part of this list? We think not. But life is unexpected!
The actor, who rose to fame quite late in life thanks to "Mad Men", isn't really in sync with the rest of us when it comes to his attractiveness. Hamm said he doesn't really get what all the fuss is about. Well, we do!
Miley Cyrus
Like many other people in the show business, the lovely Miley Cyrus wasn't spared of insecurities that had to do with her looks. According to the singer-actress — who we all can probably agree has nothing to be ashamed of in the physical department — years of hair and makeup on film sets have caused her a lot of damage.
As she got used to only seeing herself after professionals have worked hard on making her look a certain way, it became hard for her to recognize and love herself when she was looking like her usual self.
Mike Myers
Mike Myers is such a talented actor and such a hilarious comedian; but what does this have to do with being confident about himself? Apparently, not much. The famous Canadian actor, known for iconic films like "Austin Powers", "Wayne's World", and "Shrek" (where he voiced no other than Shrek himself) is very much insecure about the way he acts.
Myers said that he sometimes still fears that someone will be on to him for having no talent whatsoever. Sounds like a classic case of the impostor syndrome.
Elle Macpherson
Seriously, how can someone as good-looking as Elle Macpherson be insecure? The Australian model-actress-business woman has revealed that she had to go through a long process before she could really be satisfied with her body.
That, despite the fact that her nickname was literally "The Body." Macpherson says that the turning point in her relationship with her body came when she became a mom, which somehow made her feel better about herself. That's great news.
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran is notably one of the most successful musicians in the world – pretty much everyone wants to collaborate with this guy! So what has he got to be insecure about? His sex appeal, apparently. It turns out that the British singer-songwriter doesn't really understand why women scream at the sight of him since, in his opinion, there's not much to be excited about.
Sheeran's theory is that most girls think he's a little-kid type of cute, rather than actually being attracted to him. We beg to differ.
Kendall Jenner
Being beautiful and rich and a part of the Kardashian family is not enough. Kendall Jenner was honest and open enough to share how being famous can make you feel about yourself, regardless of how great or pretty you are.
According to Jenner, being in the limelight means that everyone is looking at you, observing (and, obviously, criticizing) your every move. Having perfect skin, she says, doesn't make you immune to that excess attention.
Jennifer Lopez
Way before she became a well-known actress, most of us first came to know J.Lo as a singer. That's why you might be a bit surprised to find out that Jennifer's biggest insecurity for years has actually been her singing.
No matter how many millions of records she had sold, she still didn't feel like a good enough singer. Thankfully, ex-husband Marc Anthony managed to heal that insecurity, making her realize she is much better of a singer than she had thought.
Cameron Diaz
While many women would kill to look even remotely like Cameron Diaz, Diaz wouldn't mind looking a little bit like someone else, too. According to the actress, she's not really digging her slim physique, and kind of wishes she could be a bit rounder around the edges.
Well, it's a good thing that she has perfect abs and stunning blue eyes to comfort her when she's feeling down.
Cara Delevingne
British model and actress Cara Delevingne shared how difficult it is to be in the limelight with such a huge focus on the way she looks. While being beautiful and fit might seem like a dream to many of us, we tend to forget the price that it can come with for those who make a living out of looking good.
That's exactly what happened to Delevingne, who says being a model had a terrible impact on her mental health and made her hate her own body.
Chrissy Teigen
All in all, Chrissy Teigen seems to be pretty happy with herself. Honestly, what's not to be when you're a successful model and John Legend's wife and you have two super sweet kids? But even beautiful and successful women with perfect-looking families get insecure, from time to time.
Teigen shared that even though she knows perfectly well that people photoshop their images before they post them on social media, it still gets to her when she sees how perfect others may look in photos, making her feel bad about herself.
Mila Kunis
How can someone as exotically beautiful as Mila Kunis question their attractiveness? God knows, but she can. The famous actress shared that even though she is flattered by people who think she's hot – she doesn't get what all the fuss is about, and doesn't even see herself as an attractive woman.
According to her, her behavior lacks a certain quality that other women often have. We're not sure what Mila is talking about, but we're pretty sure Ashton Kutcher disagrees.
Meryl Streep
Sometimes, a person's biggest point of insecurity is ironically just where their strong suit lies, and that's exactly the case with Meryl Streep. Undoubtedly one of the most impressive and diverse Hollywood actresses of her time, Streep still somehow manages to question her acting skills.
In one of the interviews she gave, she confessed that she sometimes asks herself why anyone would want to see her in films with such poor acting capabilities. Thankfully, she doesn't listen to the evil voice in her head and still continues to share her amazing gift with the world.
Kate Moss
If iconic fashion and supermodel Kate Moss has issues with her physical appearance, what are we to think of ourselves? Moss was quoted saying that she has issues with no other than… her (long, fit, perfect) legs. Yep, that's right.
The slim model makes sure to avoid mid-calf outfits just to make sure not to bring out that part of her body. This really goes to show that we all have body issues, even world-famous supermodels!
Billie Eilish
Being such an amazing musician and such a beautiful girl, it's hard to think of someone like Billie Eilish having any self-esteem issues. However, the singer herself begs to differ. Eilish shared in an interview that she used to hate her body when she was younger, wishing she had a different one.
As she started to develop at an early age, Billie struggled to handle the changes her body went through and didn't take the whole thing very well, to say the least. Looking at her today, it's difficult to imagine her struggling with her looks.
Katie Holmes
When it comes to Katie Holmes's insecurities, what turns out to be the biggest issue are actually her thighs! Who would have thought? According to the American actress, she really hates that part of her body.
Holmes shared that she does her best to accept her imperfections, but nevertheless, her way of dealing with this specific one is simply covering her thighs whenever possible. Personally, we think it's a real shame!
Daniel Radcliffe
There are very few people who were as successful and famous as Daniel Radcliffe was at such a young age, thanks to the Harry Potter films. But being a highly popular child-turned-adult-actor doesn't make you immune to insecurity. Having played Allen Ginsberg in "Kill Your Darlings", Radcliffe said he shares some traits with the poet, and not necessarily the flattering ones.
He described the emotional tumult that so many creative souls experience, moving between a sense of genius and extreme self-doubt; and confessed that he relates more to the latter.
Fergie
Other than being the female singer of the super-successful Black Eyed Peas, Fergie is also a pretty good-looking woman. But, surprisingly enough, she didn't always seem to think so. According to Fergie, she learned to love her body more as she grew older.
Today, when she gains weight, it's not such a big deal for her, and she even enjoys it! And she also has a confidence-boosting hack to share: simply dress in a way that brings out the body parts you feel best about.
Emma Chamberlain
YouTuber Emma Chamberlain has shared in an interview that she carries some baggage when it comes to her physical appearance. Starting her social media career so early in life has created some body-image issues for Chamberlain, who testifies to have met numerous people struggling with similar issues.
Opening up about one's insecurities about their body is not an easy thing to do, and hopefully, Chamberlain's confession can help others realize they're not alone.
Rihanna
R&B diva Rihanna, though she may seem at times like the epitome of self-confidence, has quite a few insecurities in her designer bag. What's unique about her is the way she deals with them. What's Rihanna's prescription to insecurity, then?
Just laugh at yourself. According to the Barbadian singer, she always knows when she's getting fat or thin, and she's aware of her physical flaws. But she's learned to accept all different body types and love herself regardless.
Mischa Barton
The O.C. actress, Mischa Barton, opened up in an interview about the issues she had with her appearance throughout her acting career. According to her, when she first started playing Marissa Cooper on the show, people around her complained that she was too thin and even speculated an illness.
But as she got a bit older, her body growing in the process, they started complaining about her not being thin enough. Barton says that her weight was never right, making her feel unjustly insecure about her body.
Nathan Sykes
Being a super sweet and handsome recording artist and the youngest member of a boy band, it's hard to imagine Nathan Sykes feeling insecure – especially when it comes to girls. But hey, he's only human!
Sykes confessed to having had a crush on Camila Cabello back in her Fifth Harmony days. According to him, when he laid eyes on her at the VMAs, he wasn't even able to articulate an entire sentence, which was super awkward. We actually think it's really sweet.
Michelle Pfeiffer
Okay, get this: gorgeous actress Michelle Pfeiffer, who very few people would think is anything but beautiful, is insecure about… her face! Yep, that's right. The actress seems to believe she looks very much like – wait for it – a duck.
If you're staring at the screen speechless right now, we can't blame you. Apparently, Pfeiffer believes the shape of her mouth and nose could have made her the perfect candidate to play the role of the Marvel character, Howard the Duck. Well, needless to say, we see no resemblance whatsoever.
Demi Lovato
Singer Demi Lovato seems to have dealt with various insecurities throughout their life. Lovato has shared on social media that their biggest fear is an unedited picture of them in a bikini – which truly says a lot.
But it appears that Lovato is also learning how to handle their insecurities and own them since they bravely confessed to having their pictures edited and said they were super tired of feeling ashamed of their body. That's definitely a step in the right direction.
Olivia Wilde
Would you believe someone as breathtakingly beautiful as Olivia Wilde can actually be insecure? Well, believe it or not, they can! Miss Wilde has confessed that prior to the beginning of her relationship with ex-and-baby-daddy Jason Sudeikis, she actually thought she wasn't hot enough for him.
The actress opened up about it and said she didn't think she'd be Sudeikis's type. Well, a decade of partnership and two kids later, we really hope she doesn't feel that way anymore.
Donald Glover
Actor-rapper Donald Glover, or as you probably know him, Childish Gambino, has his fair share of insecurities and is not afraid to show them. Glover has been brave enough to share quite a few of those insecurities on his Instagram profile for the entire world to see.
From the fear that the glory days of his career have passed and will never come back, to contemplating whether his parents will get to see him have his own kids – this celebrity doesn't spare his self-doubts from fans. Glover is keeping it real, both in and out of his music.
Selena Gomez
You'd think that a popular teen star, actress, and singer like Selena Gomez would be super confident about getting the guys that she wants – but at least with one of her crushes, that was not the case. Gomez confessed to having experienced a major freak-out when she met actor Shia Labeouf in the flesh.
Labeouf's handsomeness left Gomez utterly embarrassed pretty much speechless, and according to her, he probably thought she was crazy. Well, don't worry, Selina – it happens to the best of us!
Lance Armstrong
It turns out that being one of the world's most famous cyclists doesn't make you perfect. Lance Armstrong confessed to having used hormones to boost his performance, not feeling secure enough that he could achieve good results without them.
His confession showed that being an ultra-successful athlete doesn't imply that one is flawless, and coming out had a heavy price: he was stripped of not one, but seven Tour de France wins. We still think making it to the top after going through difficult medical issues counts for something, but we hope Lance is back on the straight and narrow by now.
Kristin Chenoweth
American musical theater vet Kristin Chenoweth carries some insecurities despite all her years of acting experience and the incredible awards she's won. For her, those insecurities center specifically around the abdomen area.
According to the Tony-winning actress-singer, she's always had a slight belly-bulge, even when she is at her thinnest. But don't worry: Chenoweth has come to terms with her imperfect stomach throughout the years, and today she's totally fine with it.
Addison Rae
Just because you're one of the most popular TikTokers out there, doesn't mean you never get insecure; and Addison Rae became living proof when she confessed her body insecurity on TikTok.
The social media influencer shared how often she comes across tweets and TikToks that shame her body and weight, and how insecure those make her feel. On the upside, it seems that Rae is turning her lemons into a juicy lemonade, choosing to eat better and work out in order to become the healthiest version of herself. Go Addison!
Beyoncé
Yes, Queen B can get insecure, too; and we bet you'll never be able to guess what this jaw-dropping diva dislikes about herself. Well – it's her feet. Apparently, if Beyoncé could change just one part of her body – or in this case, two parts – her feet would be it.
According to the world-renowned R&B singer, years of dancing have left their mark on the poor little things. Well, if that helps, we adore every inch that God has blessed you with, girl.
